Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Fun in the Dungeons

Ning Yiyi found a room within the fortress to rest for the night.

That same night, Lin spent his military merits to train at the officer's skill training ground, a place whose efficiency rivals that of Xia Jing Academy's advanced skill training hall. In this state of meditation, Lin's mental power could be fully replenished in under an hour. With the title of Dragon War King reducing his skill consumption by half, Lin was able to summon his skeleton warriors and mages with significantly less mental effort.

After depleting and then replenishing his mana, Lin managed to summon an impressive total of 150 skeleton warriors and 90 skeleton mages, filling his summoning space to the brim. This intense session cost him 1,200 military merits, leaving him with 2,800 of his initial 4,000.

Fully rejuvenated after their rest, Lin and Ning Yiyi, engaging in cheerful banter, made their way to the [Dragon Clan Frontline Outpost] dungeon. With plenty of uses left on their cooling talismans, they were well-prepared.

The entrance to the dungeon was bustling, reflecting the Shenxia Empire's unity amid conflict. Lin and Ning Yiyi's arrival, particularly Lin's, drew the attention of all present, a clear testament to his newfound respect after his remarkable performance the previous day.

"What's going on here?" asked a professional from another country, puzzled by the sudden respect shown to Lin and Ning Yiyi.

"Just stand up and show respect," someone whispered, recognizing Lin.

"What's so special about these two? The guy seems ordinary, but the girl is stunning!"

"Shut up, that's Death incarnate. Don't mess with him if you value your life," another person exclaimed, recognizing Lin.

"Death Incarnate? God of Death? Is he that scary?"

"Scary? Killing you would be as easy as slaughtering a chicken for him," the person replied, shocking the inquirer into silence.

Ning Yiyi chuckled, "They're all looking at you."

Indeed, Lin's battlefield achievements had earned him unparalleled respect. At 18 years old and level 24, becoming a second lieutenant was an unprecedented feat, suggesting a limitless future ahead.

As they entered the dungeon, their efficient teamwork made the challenging Hell difficulty level seem effortless. Ning Yiyi, ever cheerful, indulged in snacks, her pockets seemingly endless.

"Don't look at me like that; I just like to eat," Ning Yiyi said, a bit shy under Lin's gaze.

"You're beautiful," Lin Moyu complimented sincerely.

Beaming, Ning Yiyi responded, "I'm prettier than sister Yun'er, aren't I?"

"You both look good," Lin replied without hesitation, his sincerity evident.

Their conversation turned to Mo Yun, revealing the deep connections between their families and the high expectations placed on Mo Yun as a summoner. Ning Yiyi admired Mo Yun but admitted to being a bit intimidated by her.

"Then, what's your family's lineage?" Lin asked Ning Yiyi.

Laughing, Ning Yiyi shared, "My family has a lineage of mages, but I'm the odd one out as a shadow assassin. Grandpa still dotes on me, though."

As they continued their conversation, sharing stories of their pasts, it was clear that Lin Moyu's background was more modest compared to Ning Yiyi's affluent upbringing.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll see your sister soon. Perhaps at the professional competition," Ning Yiyi reassured Lin.

Lin nodded, "Okay."

In less than four hours, they once again triumphed over the dungeon guardian, collecting a trove of rewards including the Hell Outpost Dagger, Heavy Armor, Bracelet, and Dragon Clan's Crystal Cores.

"Can you give me this dagger?" Ning Yiyi asked, eyeing the loot.

Without hesitation, Lin handed her the dagger, although curiosity tinged his expression. "What's the use?"

"I won't tell you, but it's definitely useful," Ning Yiyi teased, keeping its purpose a secret.

Upon exiting the dungeon, they were abruptly told to step aside, interrupting their light-hearted discussion.
