Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: Legendary Profession

"Yiyi, who's this guy?" sounded a jealous voice.

A man approached Lin Moyu, his gaze intense and focused. Clad in attire that mirrored Shi Xingan's, he bore the unmistakable aura of a knight, sword and shield at the ready. However, the similarity ended there. Shi Xingan was a Paladin, a profession of notable rarity and strength, but this new figure was something even more exceptional—a Holy Paladin, a legend among their ranks.

The distinction between a Paladin and a Holy Paladin might seem minimal, a mere word's difference, yet the disparity in their prowess was vast. The Holy Paladin not only shared the Paladin's skill set but also wielded the formidable power of auras, a versatile ability that could be used for offense, defense, and control. This skill alone elevated the Holy Paladin to legendary status, a goal every knight aspired to but few achieved.

Shi Xingan couldn't hide his envy. The path to becoming a Holy Paladin was his ultimate ambition, a dream shared by knights far and wide. Liang Yue, sensing his longing, whispered encouragement, "Don't lose hope; your chance will come."

He was a Paladin now, but the future held opportunities for advancement. Success in his next evolutions could potentially elevate him to the coveted status of a Knight of Light. Yet, the challenge was formidable, and for now, it seemed a distant dream.

The Holy Paladin introduced himself to Lin as Zhou Lesheng, a level 30 Holy Paladin. His introduction prompted Lin to share his own, "Lin, level 23, necromancer."

Zhou Lesheng's brows knitted in confusion. Necromancer? It was a class he was unfamiliar with, a curiosity amidst the known professions.

Ning Yiyi, unable to contain her excitement, exclaimed at Lin's level, highlighting his rapid advancement. Lin's offer to assist her in leveling up was met with enthusiastic agreement, but it also sparked a noticeable change in Zhou Lesheng's demeanor.

Zhou Lesheng, having previously extended an offer to Ning Yiyi for a joint leveling session, found his offer suddenly replaced by Lin's. The shift was not to his liking, his face clouding over with displeasure. His disbelief in Lin's capability to assist Ning Yiyi was evident, his tone laced with skepticism.

Liang Yue and Shi Xingan observed the interaction, recognizing jealousy when they saw it. Despite Zhou Lesheng's reservations and apparent hostility, Ning Yiyi remained undeterred, her faith in Lin unwavering.

Zhou Lesheng, unable to sway Ning Yiyi, ultimately stepped back, though his parting words left a space for Ning Yiyi to return should Lin's efforts fall short. Ning Yiyi's cheerful dismissal of his concerns only served to highlight her confidence in Lin's abilities.

As Zhou Lesheng rejoined his team, the conversation around Lin and Ning Yiyi shifted towards their impending dungeon run. The idea of venturing into Hell difficulty with just the two of them was met with skepticism by the onlookers. The daunting nature of such a challenge was well known, and yet, Lin's previous successes hinted at a potential surprise.

Lin and Ning Yiyi, undaunted by the murmurs of doubt, prepared to enter the dungeon. The anticipation of facing Hell difficulty together, underpinned by Lin's proven strength and Ning Yiyi's eager trust, promised an adventure neither of them would soon forget.
