Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: What Did He Do?

From a distance of fifty or sixty meters, the Felin orcs detected Lin's presence. With a unified roar, they surged towards him, a mere ten monsters that seemed hardly a challenge. Lin, with his keen senses, immediately deployed his detection magic, only to discover these were Felin Orc Warriors of level 15, presenting minimal information—a first in his experience.

These orc warriors, resembling giant, upright-walking lizards with long tails, emitted a roar that reverberated through the battle space, attracting more of their kind. To any other class, this scenario would demand a hit-and-run tactic, utilizing burst skills to thin the herd before retreating from an encirclement. But Lin, accompanied by his trio of skeleton warriors, had no need for such caution.

The skeletons clashed with the orcs, their blades slicing through the air but not securing immediate kills—a rarity that piqued Lin's interest. These Felin orcs were tough but not particularly strong, a balance of resilience without formidable power.

Adapting quickly, Lin decided if one strike wouldn't suffice, two would. The orc warriors began to fall, increasing Lin's points significantly. However, in the control room, the examiners could only watch the score change, puzzled by the sudden surge from 3655 to 4105 points.

Lin's strategy involved a devastating use of corpse explosion, annihilating a group of Felin orcs and dramatically boosting his score to 8605 points. Yet, when he planned to use the corpses for further explosions, he discovered they vanished into the dark earth mere seconds after death, necessitating a change in tactics.

Unperturbed, Lin summoned additional skeleton warriors, orchestrating a gathering of nearly a hundred Felin orcs. With precise coordination, he unleashed a barrage of corpse explosions, shaking the very ground of the battle space and wiping out the orc warriors, his score skyrocketing as a result.

Back in the control room, the examiners were abuzz with speculation, unable to comprehend how Lin managed such a feat. Even Ning Xuanfeng, normally unflappable, was taken aback, his curiosity about the necromancer's limits and capabilities piqued.

As Lin prepared for the next wave of monsters, the tranquility was shattered by the sky turning red and meteor-like fireballs plummeting towards the earth. This new challenge promised to test Lin's adaptability and skill even further, underscoring the unpredictable and perilous nature of the battle space.
