"Chirp, Chirp Chirp.
Birds chiped away as the sun rose, casting a brilliant golden hue over the forest, bringing another day to the world, a new team made their way to the front of the dungeon, puzzled by the lack of the usual crowd.
"Huh, why is it so empty today?" one of them wondered. "It's usually bustling here."
Finding no answers but undeterred, they chose the normal difficulty level and ventured into the dungeon. Soon after, more adventurers arrived, and the area once again buzzed with activity. When the dungeon's cooldown ended, Lin returned for another solo run, earning whispers and stares from those gathered.
"What a mysterious guy," someone commented. "So cold, not a word from him."
"His summons are cool, though a bit scary, but really impressive," another added, only to be met with a dismissive reply, "What's the use if he doesn't interact with us?"
"I saw him go in alone. Looks like he's planning to solo it."
Among the onlookers was Xia Xue, who spotted Lin entering the dungeon with his unmistakable skeleton warriors. She knew too well that Lin was the world's sole Necromancer, a unique profession with no second.
Xia Xue watched Lin with complex feelings, biting her lip. She had just reached level 10 and had come directly to the dungeon. Despite her level, her rare Elemental Mage status made it easy to find a team. The West Sea Mine dungeon, a mere level 14 challenge, wasn't particularly hard, especially on normal difficulty. However, soloing it was another matter. Seeing Lin manage this feat stirred a competitive spirit within her. "I won't lose to you," she thought determinedly before joining a team and heading into the dungeon.
Inside, Lin steamrolled through the nightmare-level dungeon with even greater efficiency than before. Now commanding a total of 72 skeleton warriors, his progress was swift and devastating. Within just 45 minutes, he faced the Goblin King again. This time, the king barely had a chance to react before being overwhelmed and defeated, leaving behind his loot for Lin to collect without much interest.
Exiting the dungeon, Lin didn't linger. His presence remained unnoticed by a Dynasty Guild group that arrived later to investigate the previous day's events. Their inquiries yielded nothing; those present knew nothing of the prior day's turmoil. The Guild's action of blocking the dungeon had sparked outrage and led to a warning from the Professional Association: dungeons are a resource for all humanity, not to be monopolized by any single guild.
"Crack!"
"Are you insane?"
Back at the Dynasty Guild headquarters, Guild Leader Wang Wei angrily smashed a glass on the cold stone floor as he yelled as his son, Wang Zihao, for his reckless actions. Confined to the guild and already at level 16, Wang Zihao could only wait for the upcoming exams, his investigation into his missing members out of his hands.
Meanwhile, Lin, undisturbed by the drama unfolding outside, continued to make his preparations, his only concern leveling up and facing the challenges ahead on his own terms.
