"Oh my god! I am so sorry, Coral. My phone was dead, and the driver just called me now to say his wife had an accident and he had to leave. I am so sorry." Sofia said, her voice filled with guilt as she hugged Coral tightly, her familiar scent comforting Coral.
"It's okay," Coral replied. "I'm fine. I even made a friend. Her name is Emily, and she lives nearby. She stayed with me the whole time, so I didn't feel afraid." Coral hugged Sofia back, feeling happy and reassured.
After the reassuring hug, Coral pulled away and smiled at Sofia. "I'm going to head upstairs to change," she said.
Sofia nodded, giving her an smile. "Of course, take your time."
Coral climbed the stairs. She made her way to her room, feeling the comfort of home settle around her. Once inside, she closed the door behind her and leaned against it for a moment, taking a deep breath.
