Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 Stationary Shopping

Coral and Alexander weren't badly injured, so they were discharged from the hospital the next day.

Alexander got busy right away with some company matters, while Coral had nothing to do. Sofia decided to take Coral shopping for school supplies.

Thanks to Alexander's connections, Coral was already enrolled in school without much hassle. Now, they just needed to get her ready.

Coral looked curiously at the bag Sofia was showing her.

"What do you think about this bag?" Sofia asked, holding up a bright blue bag. Coral shook her head; she didn't like it at all.

"How about this one?" Sofia asked, showing her a pink school bag with a cute, glittery cat graphic on it. It was adorable.

Coral's face lit up. She nodded enthusiastically and gave a thumbs up with both hands. "Love it!" she exclaimed.

Sofia laughed at Coral's excitement.

Then Sofia helped her pick out some notebooks, pens, erasers, and other important supplies. The stationery store was bustling with activity, and Coral enjoyed browsing through the colorful items.

"Okay, stationery shopping is done. Let's buy a phone for you," Sofia said. Coral followed her like a little tail, her eyes wide with anticipation.

As they walked to the electronics store, Coral made a silent promise to herself. She would learn how to earn money and one day buy many nice things for her Sofia Aunty. She adored Sofia and wanted to make her proud.

"Show me your latest phones for my daughter," Sofia said to the store clerk.

The clerk began to display the best phones they had, each one more impressive than the last. Coral's eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked at the sleek, shiny devices.

"Hahaha! Which one do you like?" Coral smiled sheepishly at Sofia and pointed at the silver phone which was shining under the light's reflection.

After some shopping, both of them were tired, so Sofia took Coral to an ice cream parlor and ordered vanilla ice cream.

The waiter placed a glass of ice cream on their table.

Coral instantly fell in love with the ice cream flavor as she finished the whole thing. Sofia smiled at her.

After shopping, Sofia took Coral back to the house. It was already afternoon by the time they reached home, and they were both tired. Sofia went for an afternoon nap, while Coral excitedly looked at everything in the bag.

"Look, Super Bee! Aunty Sofia brought me a bag." Coral said, smiling happily as she hugged the bag. She even rubbed her cheeks against it. "And look, a cat that shines!" she said, showing Super Bee the glittery cat print on the bag.

"Sofia is so kind to you," Super Bee buzzed as she also checked the bag.

"I know, right! Look, this is my phone which I will sleep hugging." Coral said as she hugged the phone, which was shining.

"No, you can't," Super Bee said.

"Why?" Coral asked with wide eyes.

"Sleeping with a phone is not good for you, Coral. It emits heavy light and attracts rays which aren't good for the brain." Super Bee explained as Coral's eyes widened.

"Don't worry, you can use it, but only when you have something important to do. Now let me teach you how to use it," Super Bee said as she started teaching Coral the basics of phone usage.

"Wow! It's such a cool thing," Coral exclaimed, her blue eyes shining.

"Haha! I know, right?" Super Bee said. "Now let me see what other things Sofia brought for you." Hearing this, Coral started showing each item.

"Sofia is soooo kind," Super Bee said again, her eyes sparkling.

"Coral, when you go to school, I don't want you to appear completely clueless. And even though you can't read the language here yet, it's a good thing you know how to speak it! But don't worry, I will teach you how to write. You're smart, so I don't have to worry."

"Teach me! I want to learn how to write Sofia Aunty's and Uncle James' names and my friends' names," Coral said excitedly.

"You brought a book, right?! Make one of your notebooks a rough book," Super Bee suggested, and Coral nodded her head.

Super Bee started teaching her first by showing her the alphabets, numbers, and some common words.

Coral had a good memory, so she remembered everything Super Bee said and started showing small progress. Super Bee was proud of her as she looked at Coral.
