When Alexander started cutting the ribbon, the lights went out in the room, plunging it into darkness. A collective gasp filled the air, followed by a momentary silence. Then, like a dazzling meteor shower, the entire ceiling burst into a kaleidoscope of shimmering lights, with colors dancing across the walls, illuminating the room with a magical glow. The soft strains of piano music floated through the air, adding an ethereal touch to the atmosphere.
The radiant lights reflected in Alexander's eyes as he delicately sliced through the ribbon, and it fell away in two perfect halves.
As if on cue, a soft melodious voice began singing, "Happy Birthday, Alexander," seeming to emanate from the very air itself, filling the room with its enchanting melody. All eyes turned towards a figure that emerged from the huge box.
A girl, resembling a porcelain doll, stepped forward with long strawberry blonde hair cascading down her back, her blue eyes sparkling as she wore a pure white dress adorned with delicate embellishments. A sparkling hairband adorned her head, and she held a fairy-like wand in her hand.
The lights danced upon her flawless skin, giving her an otherworldly glow, and a beautiful smile played on her lips, revealing adorable dimples as she approached Alexander, a sense of wonder and curiosity in her eyes.
"Happy Birthday, Alexander~ happy Birthday, Alexander" Coral sang, but stopped upon seeing Alexander's dark expression, hesitating.
Alexander's expression remained stoic, but his eyes betrayed a flicker of surprise. "Mom," he muttered through clenched teeth, "what is all of this?"
A mix of emotions washed over him: confusion, disbelief, and a hint of irritation. He couldn't comprehend why his mother had gone to such lengths to find him a women on his birthday. Yet, despite his reservations, he couldn't ignore the undeniable beauty standing before him.
But she looked so young...
How should he...
His mother's voice rang out, filled with excitement, "Surprise! I've found a little sister for you, Alexander."
Little sister?
his mother continued to explain, her words tumbling out in a rush, "Well, I know you're always busy with the company, so I thought, why not bring you a little sister? And me and James's goddaughter... She's the daughter of a friend of mine..."
As the room fell into a hushed silence, all eyes remained fixed on Coral. She appeared ethereal, like a living work of art brought to life. She was simply breathtaking.
Unable to contain her excitement, Aria stepped forward and exclaimed, "Are you for real?" Her voice laced with awe.
Coral blinked her long lashes, a small smile gracing her lips. "Yes, I'm real," she replied, her voice as soft as a whisper.
Overwhelmed by Coral's cuteness, Aria couldn't resist pinching her rosy cheeks. "OMG, you're so cute!" she exclaimed, her eyes filled with delight.
Blushing, Coral returned the compliment, "You're beautiful too."
Jennie and Finn joined the group, drawn by Coral's friendly nature.
Suddenly, Madison's voice cut through the air, accompanied by a touch of malicious intention, "Oh, Auntie, why did you adopt strays? If you wanted a goddaughter, why didn't you consider me?"
