"Are you a mermaid?" Hearing Aria's words, Coral was stunned and looked at Aria with wide eyes.
"How do you know?" Coral asked, shocked.
Aria's hands started shaking with excitement. "I can't believe my best friend is a mermaid!" she exclaimed, about to shout.
Coral quickly covered Aria's mouth with her soft hands. "No, no, don't shout," Coral said urgently. "If you do, the whole house will know what I am."
Aria nodded, her eyes still wide with amazement. Coral slowly removed her hand. "Yes, I'm a mermaid," she admitted quietly. "But you have to promise to keep this a secret. It's really important."
"I promise," Aria whispered, her excitement now mixed with understanding. "I won't tell anyone. I'm just... so amazed."
Coral smiled, feeling relieved. "Thank you, Aria. It means a lot to me."
If Aria didn't tell anyone, everything would be fine. Coral wouldn't have to worry about being sent to a lab like Super Bee had warned.
