"Mr. Senju, you mentioned earlier that your elder brother, Hashirama Senju, sits as the First Hokage, known as the Shinobi God. What does 'Shinobi God' mean? Is your brother a deity?" Nick Fury hit the nail on the head.
Upon hearing Nick Fury's question, Tobirama rolled his eyes. "Where in this world do we find truly omnipotent deities?"
"The term 'god' merely refers to another powerful being. My brother can be considered the strongest shinobi, hence the title Shinobi God."
"The strongest shinobi?" Nick Fury couldn't fathom it, especially since he couldn't even imagine the power of Minato Namikaze and Tobirama Senju.
Seemingly aware of Nick Fury's limited imagination, Tobirama explained, "Simply put, someone like me can be easily defeated with just one hand by my brother! The same goes for Minato."
This explanation made things much clearer and more straightforward.
Nick Fury finally began to grasp the extent of Hashirama Senju's power, but he still found it hard to believe. Without witnessing Minato and Tobirama firsthand, Nick Fury simply couldn't believe that humans could attain such levels of strength!
Therefore, until he saw Hashirama Senju with his own eyes, Nick Fury wouldn't believe in his strength.
However, this didn't deter Nick Fury from continuing his conversation with Tobirama and Minato.
"Mr. Namikaze, when do you plan to depart for New Mexico?"
"We'll leave shortly! Although the situation isn't urgent, I need to check on the status of the One-Tail's seal first," Minato replied after some thought.
"Could you take Coulson with you? There was an incident near the One-Tail's seal where a hammer fell from the sky, and Coulson wants to investigate it."
After a moment of consideration, Nick Fury confessed, "It would also be beneficial for Coulson to document your combat abilities. It would reassure many people."
For someone like Minato Namikaze, hiding things served no purpose. Nick Fury understood this well, which is why he was straightforward about his intentions.
"Document? With a camera?" Tobirama was curious.
"Yes, Coulson will carry a miniature camera to record the entire mission," Nick Fury replied truthfully.
"Sure, record away! I don't mind being in the spotlight," Minato shrugged. "Oh, and since we're quite far from New Mexico and haven't left a Flying Thunder God seal there, we'll have to drive there."
Turning to Coulson, Minato inquired, "Coulson, how's your driving?"
"I'm fairly confident behind the wheel," Coulson said with a slight smile.
"Then we're all set." Minato nodded. "Shall we depart?"
"Absolutely."
With that, Minato hitched a ride with Coulson, while Tobirama resumed his duties. Although protecting Wu Chen was a priority, there were no immediate threats. So, Wu Chen, disguised as Tobirama's shadow clone, felt it best to continue impersonating Tobirama.
Once everyone had left the office, Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief, leaning back in his chair, a rare display of exhaustion on his usually composed demeanor. Dealing with these powerhouses was taxing, and Fury remained alert at all times, fully focused on the task at hand.
However, this state only lasted for a brief moment before Nick Fury returned to normal. He couldn't afford to let anyone see his moment of weakness. After all, as Minato once mentioned, the internal situation at S.H.I.E.L.D. was far from ideal, and Fury had never forgotten that.
Through his discreet investigations, Fury had discovered some clues, although there wasn't concrete evidence yet. But revealing his suspicions prematurely wouldn't be wise.
However, what Nick Fury never imagined was that, except for a few individuals, everyone else at S.H.I.E.L.D. was an undercover Hydra agent.
In other words, Nick Fury was the snake in the grass.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, when Deidara brought Tendo before Kinbirai, the latter was taken aback.
After a month of training, Kinbirai's chakra levels had reached those of an average jōnin.
Having mastered the Shark Style Water Release ninjutsu, Kinbirai had also honed his synergy with the Great Shark Muscle blade. With additional practice in swordsmanship, Kinbirai had become a full-fledged jōnin.
Let's be honest, compared to Wu Chen, Kinbirai was the true ninja prodigy! If Kinbirai had been born in the world of Naruto, he would have been among the top shinobi.
The enhancement of his raw power also improved his sensory abilities. Upon recognizing Tendo, Kinbirai slowly knelt down. "My Lord!"
Underneath his mask, Deidara's lips curled up slightly. He too sensed Kinbirai's current strength.
However, now wasn't the time for such discussions. Deidara took a step back, allowing Tendo to take his place, and gestured to Kinbirai. "This is our leader, the leader of the Akatsuki, the Zero Mortals Plan – Pain Six Paths!"
