Hazel's Pov;
I thought that maybe staying at the garden will help me get my mind off Lucian, but I felt worse. Not seeing him around made me feel insecure, and I didn't trust anyone in the place to hear me out. I felt as if he had abandoned me_ like why he would just go off like that and leave me under the protection of his men. As I was lost in thoughts, a shadow stood in front of me. I lift my head only to see a face I haven't seen for a while. He might not be so annoying like his brother Pierre, but he still annoys me sometimes. I just stared back into his eyes my stare as calm as I could make it.
'' I wanted to check up on you yesterday but, they wouldn't let me in.'' Rafael said.
'' Don't blame them, it was all my orders, I wanted to be alone. ''I state.
He sighed then gestured at the empty space besides me. ''Can I?''
I just nodded and he sat beside me looking very jovial still trying to keep a straight face. I stopped my eyes from rolling since I didn't want to show him that he was already starting to annoy me.
''So how are you coping with all of these, it must be so overwhelming.'' he state.
I smirk hoping he's not trying to do what I think he's doing.
''Rafael, are you trying to make me talk about myself?'' I asked.
'' It's not what you think Hazel, Lucian has never left without saying where he has gone off to, so I'm curious on how you must be feeling... I'm sure you need someone to talk to, I am here just let me hear you out.'' Raf said trying to be convincing which was beginning to work.
'' If you want to help me, start by finding where my husband is_ or if you know anything just tell me Rafael.'' I state meaning every word, because deep down I could feel he must have a clue to where Lucian is.
'' If you're doubting that I know where he is, you've got me wrong,''
''How about helping in finding him?'' I asked as a bit of hope appeared on my face.
Rafael narrowed his eyes at me then he smiled.
'' What?!'' I asked feeling annoyed.
'' Nothing it's just that I didn't know you were that desperate to see him.''
(Yeah, what would you have done if you were in my situation dummy!) I thought to myself.
'' Anyway, I understand you and I'm willing to help you, not just because he is your husband, but because he is my little brother, and I care about him.'' He said then smiled.
'' And do you know where to start, I mean do you have any ideas that won't make you get caught?'' I asked.
'' Don't worry, you just trust me, I have the best place to start with.'' Rafael said, assuring me that he is willing to help.

Lucian's Pov ;
It was past mid-day, and I was in my study seated behind my mahogany desk, reading my favorite novels. I have been like this for hours, reading books after another just to distract myself. Did it work? No, it did not. In each and every page I could only think of my Hazel. To say the truth, I miss her so much, but I still can't go back until my demon is under my control fully.
I heard a knock on the door, although I had heard the footsteps coming up the stairs for a long time. It was my lunch but brought by someone unexpected. One of my concubines, as usual dressed in a very seductive way and she had a transparent mask covering her face leaving only her eyes.
'' I sent the maids not you.'' I said looking back at my book.
She placed the tray of food on my desk, then avoided eye contact by looking at the floor.
'' I just wanted to help my Prince,'' She explained. '' But I promise I didn't intend to spoil your mood.''
I just stared at her, and I craved her on top of me, since it's her favorite position.
I turned my chair and gestured for her to come over. She did not even hesitate and walked over to me. I was sitting in manspread making it easier for her.
She took off her mask and sat on my lap, she slowly grabbed my face to kiss me, but I turned and pointed down between the two of us. She quickly understood and slowly knelt down and she opened my pants. I thought this would make Damon come out, but I still waited.
I pushed her head deeper; to make feel wild...Still nothing, I stripped off her clothes and squeezed her breasts ....
