"Audrey!" Alex quickly ran out from the Pack's hospital to help Audrey carry the woman from her hands.
"Take her to Caleb," Audrey said, pointing him to Lisa.

Inside the hospital, Audrey gently lay her unconscious mother on the bed, balancing the pillow behind her head.
She sat beside her, taking her hand in hers.
She stared at her mother's face; the resemblance was striking, just like she used to see in her dreams before she discovered her powers.
Tears ran down her cheeks as she stared at her mother; she could imagine the kind of suffering she had faced at the hands of Malachi and Elena.
All those years she was suffering in this Pack, she felt abandoned, always wondering why her mother never cared for her. She never knew that she was in a more deathly condition, at least, on her end, no one ever raped her, but her mother had faced constant molestation for years.
