She hadn't planned to do anything that would offend Audrey, but Adeline came along and was causing trouble for her.
She feared Audrey might get angry and do evil things to her.

"No!" Stacy quickly stood from the chair and pushed Adeline's hand that was aiming to pour the content of the glass on Audrey's head away; causing the reverse to be the case.
