Audrey looked up at the sky and realized that the walk out of the forest had sidetracked her from checking the time.
The whole place was getting dark already as night approached, she knew she had to return to the garden very soon, the moon was starting to appear in the sky and she had to leave before it was fully out.
'Honestly, I don't see a point of you running,' Selena suddenly spoke in her head.
"We'll see," Audrey whispered.
"You're... not coming?" Maya asked when she noticed that Audrey had stopped walking with them.
"Yes. You guys go ahead," Audrey replied.
Maya looked at Sandra, Alex, and Maria, silently asking them to help convince Audrey to come with them but they slowly shook their heads at her.
Maya sighed and walked back to Audrey.
"Why?" She was almost crying as she questioned Audrey.
"Maya-"
"You don't want to be my mate?" Maya asked anxiously, holding onto Audrey's hand in desperation.
