"Where is she?" Lake asked Andrew.
Audrey slowly stepped aside; she felt her heart hurt when she saw the concern on Lake's face for Melody.
There might be something between them, after all.
"Hey, I'm sorry, I have to rush over to the hospital..." Lake paused and stared longingly at Audrey.
"I'll come with," Audrey announced, surprising Lake and Andrew.
"You would?" Lake knew there was some unspoken tension between the two women so he wasn't expecting Audrey to effortlessly
ask to come visit Melody in a hospital.
"Yes, come on, Mikhail, we're going to see Melody. Lead the way, Alpha," Audrey smiled at Lake and took Mikhail's hand, leading him away and toward their car.
"Alpha..." Andrew called cautiously.
Lake slowly blinked away from staring at Audrey and turned to Andrew. He wanted to ask something but decided against it, it would just sound too ridiculous.
