Alex had passively been channeling his regenerative heat aspect of his Phoenix Flames towards his eyes since they were first blinded, and by now they had healed enough to bring his sight back.
He was sick of playing a game of cat and mouse with the Lux, constantly hiding and retreating whenever he was found.
After finding out that his Soul Fire couldn't express its full power against an awakened like this Lux of such a higher class and rank than himself, the idea of utilising the same methods of guerilla tactics were long thrown out of Alex's mind.
If he wanted to defeat and kill this Lux, then he had no other choice than to fight it head on!
