While still conversing with Jiraiya, Fugaku, who had accompanied him, felt as if he were in a dream upon hearing that Toshiro had mastered Sage Mode. He never imagined that a younger member of his clan could achieve the legendary Sage Mode so swiftly.
As the leader of the Uchiha clan, Fugaku witnessed Jiraiya activate Sage Mode and display his power in the battlefield against the Iwa ninjas. After returning to the clan, he diligently researched and discovered that their ancestor Madara was defeated by the First Hokage due to this very same Sage Mode. This realization ignited a spark in his eyes.
No wonder Toshiro dared to challenge the village's elders so boldly, forcing the Sandaime to offer the Flying Thunder God Jutsu as a bargaining chip. It was all because of this newfound power. This revelation was truly astonishing.
"I didn't expect you to be humbled so thoroughly! It's truly eye-opening! Ha! Ha! Ha!"
While Fugaku was still processing Toshiro's achievement of sage mode, Orochimaru, perched on a large tree in the distance, cast a mocking glance at Danzo Shimura beside him.
"Who would have thought that the little brat from back then would grow to this extent? He has become an undeniable force!"
Orochimaru reminisced about how, a few years ago, Toshiro had looked so helpless facing him. He hadn't anticipated such a transformation in just a few years.
"Hmph! These Uchiha are nothing but trouble. It's all due to Hiruzen's indulgence. Otherwise, we wouldn't be facing these issues! And you, Orochimaru, should focus on your own matters and your study of immortality. If your sensei finds out, it won't end well for you."
"Sarutobi-sensei?"
Hearing this, Orochimaru frowned. He increasingly felt that the current Konoha Village was a place that constrained his aspirations and dreams.
'Perhaps it's time to consider leaving,' he thought.
"Did you bring the Flying Thunder God Jutsu scroll?"
After exchanging a few pleasantries with Jiraiya, Toshiro got straight to the point. He hadn't come here to banter. If it weren't for the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, he wouldn't have bothered to speak with the Sandaime Hokage.
"Of course!"
Jiraiya pulled out a scroll from his robe and held it out, saying, "The rules are simple. You just need to take this scroll from me." He patted his chest with a serious expression. "I won't let you obtain the Flying Thunder God jutsu easily."
This was Jiraiya's genuine intention. It wasn't about whether Toshiro could learn the jutsu or his status as an Uchiha. The concern was that Toshiro had not embraced the 'Will of Fire'. Though he hadn't yet harmed Konoha, who could say what the future held?
"Going against the toad sages from Mount Myoboku? It's going to be a great learning experience for me!"
Toshiro's strength had greatly improved recently, thanks to the special 'eye drops,' and he had learned the Sage Mode. However, he had been training in isolation. A chance to exchange sage jutsu was appealing. With this Sharingan he can copy even the Sage arts of the Maa and Paa if possible.
"I just hope this guy doesn't disappoint."
"In that case…"
"Both sides form the Seal of Confrontation!"
The Sandaime Hokage stepped into the center of the field, glancing at Toshiro. This was a ritual the Sandaime had specifically requested before the battle, perhaps to convey something.
Toshiro was indifferent to this. It was just a trivial formality. He and Jiraiya performed the customary gesture as requested.
"Then… let's begin!"
With those words, Toshiro activated his Sharingan and focused on Jiraiya.
"Is this… the Sharingan's genjutsu?"
Despite being prepared, Jiraiya was caught in the illusion, though something seemed off about it.
The sun shone brightly in a clear blue sky, and a sweet sea breeze dissipated the summer heat. The sounds of distant seabirds filled the air as they flew and fished over the sea.
Jiraiya found himself in colorful shorts and a light straw hat, standing on a sandy beach. The waves, warmed by the sun, lapped at his feet.
"Start!"
Just as he was about to break the illusion, he heard a cool female voice. He turned around…
Before him was a white sandy beach dotted with unknown green plants casting mottled shadows under the sunlight. In the distance, parasols, deck chairs, and cold drinks awaited.
What caught Jiraiya's eye even more was a different kind of game taking place on the beach—a game involving beautiful women competing across a net.
"This is…"
He watched as a stunning woman with long ice-blue hair, a voluptuous figure in a white and black bikini, and a red mark on her chest, moved gracefully. She tossed the ball into the air and leaped. The mysterious aura of the mark made it impossible for him to look away.
He felt his heart soar with the ball she tossed, anticipating the view her jump would reveal.
"Esdeath, she seems to be a beauty I've never heard of," he muttered. Mesmerized by the scene, Jiraiya knew he shouldn't be distracted by such tricks, but he couldn't resist appreciating the sight.
As the ball fell, she elegantly swung her smooth, fair arm to hit it. The ball compressed under the force, flying toward her opponent.
Jiraiya's gaze shifted to the other side, where another striking woman with knee-length lavender hair and a snake-shaped logo on her forehead awaited. She had a charming and coquettish demeanor, with the letter "R" prominently displayed on her body. She didn't just stand still; she moved with grace, bending her body and legs to catch the ball.
Her already straight and slender legs appeared even tighter and smoother as she stretched.
There were other figures too, each wearing different styles of swimsuits: Erza, Mira, Hancock, CC, Sakura Tohsaka, Rei Ayanami…
"Have I arrived in heaven?"
Jiraiya wondered, his eyes widening at the sight of these figures, each cold as ice, charming, or pure and lovely. Even with his vast experience, he felt his horizons expanding.
But he knew he couldn't succumb to Toshiro's illusion. No matter how enticing, Jiraiya couldn't be ensnared by such a blatant beauty trap.
As he watched the women squat to catch the ball, jump to intercept, and leap to hit it, his heart pounded like the rising waves at his feet. He knew he should focus on dealing with Toshiro first. This… was such a pity!
"Jiraiya, you idiot, what are you still doing standing there?"
"Why don't you come over and put on sunscreen for me?"
Just as he mustered the willpower to form the Ram seal and dispel the illusion, a very familiar voice called to him.
"Tsunade…"
He turned to see a figure lying on a white mat facing the beach. Even in this position, her curves were unmistakable. Jiraiya's resolve began to waver.
Tsunade, in a three-piece swimsuit, was currently removing the straps on her back for him to apply sunscreen. He glanced down to find a bottle of light yellow liquid in his hand.
"This is… really…"
Unable to resist any longer, Jiraiya took three quick steps and positioned himself behind her, admiring her graceful back. The lack of restraints on her breasts made her outline even more pronounced.
"hurry up!! You're so slow!"
With Tsunade's voice sounding both playful and scolding, Jiraiya had completely succumbed to the illusion.
"Jiraiya, you idiot!"
In the distance, Danzo and he were observing Jiraya. Although they didn't know the specifics, the expressions on their faces told the whole story. He had hoped to assess Toshiro's strength and the sage arts of Mount Myoboku, gathering information for his research on ninjutsu. But faced with this situation, he couldn't help but feel frustrated.
"Uchiha Toshiro, this guy... he's really cunning," Danzo muttered, feeling a headache coming on. He was never afraid of powerful enemies; even Konoha's White Fang, who was stronger than the Sannin, had been driven to suicide by him. Dealing with a talented Uchiha usually wasn't too difficult, as they were often straightforward in their thinking. But Toshiro's cunning made him a problematic adversary.
Unlike White Fang, who adhered to the Will of Fire, or Kagami and Fugaku, who could be swayed with empty promises, Toshiro was different. Danzo had found no exploitable weaknesses in Toshiro's connections within the village. He had no lover, few close relatives, and limited friendships. His bonds within the village were minimal, making it difficult to manipulate him through those means.
Thinking of Toshiro's clothing during the night of the Nine-Tails attack, Danzo pondered his next move. Perhaps exploiting a different kind of vulnerability could be effective.
"Jiraiya! Jiraiya!"
Danzo's thoughts were interrupted by the same annoying noise that broke Jiraiya's interaction with Tsunade.
"Jiraiya, you idiot, wake up!"
The Sandaime Hokage was furious, his face dark with anger. He didn't even care about his ever-present pipe. Storming over to Jiraiya, he broke the genjutsu that had ensnared him. Jiraiya, still lost in his previous joy, didn't understand what was happening.
Seeing Jiraiya's nosebleed and foolish grin, the Sandaime felt ashamed. He considered reteaching this disgraceful student from scratch.
"That... that Uchiha boy's illusion just now... What is it?" Jiraiya asked, completely unaware of his sensei's anger. He smiled at Toshiro with a knowing look.
"What is the name of that illusion?"
Flipping through the scroll of the Flying Thunder God Jutsu he had just obtained, Toshiro glanced at Jiraiya's lecherous grin and the Sandaime Hokage's dark expression. He winked at Jiraiya, enjoying the moment.
"Genjutsu : Dream come true!"
"How about it? It lives up to its name, right?"
To ensure Jiraya would be thoroughly entranced, he carefully selected a diverse group of anime beauties from his previous life. Even the five senses, such as touch and smell, were meticulously crafted to blur the line between reality and illusion.
Initially, he thought of fighting Jiraya seriously to measure his new strength. But later, he decided against it, as he hadn't reached that untouchable level. The fight would only benefit the Sandaime and Danzo.
"As for being in it again, you'd better deal with the Sandaime Hokage first!"
Seeing the Sandaime on the verge of exploding, Toshiro raised his eyebrows at Jiraiya and left the scene with Uchiha Fugaku. Having secured the Flying Thunder God, there was no reason to linger. Did he want to witness the Sandaime disciplining his student?
"Oh! Don't leave just yet. The previous round doesn't count. Let's start over!"
Realizing his blunder, Jiraiya quickly tried to convince Toshiro to give him another chance to compete for the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.
"That's enough! Jiraiya, don't embarrass yourself anymore!"
Watching Toshiro leave without hesitation, the Sandaime's eyes twitched. He never imagined Jiraiya could mess things up so royally. Despite his stern words, he was filled with regret. He had never intended to actually hand over the Flying Thunder God Jutsu to Toshiro.
In his plan, Jiraiya was supposed to summon the two toad sages from Mount Myoboku and use their combined power to defeat Toshiro. This would protect Danzo and show Toshiro that he wasn't the only one in Konoha capable of using senjutsu. This way, they could send a clear message without giving up the Flying Thunder God and also gauge Toshiro's true strength.
He never expected Jiraiya to be so careless, allowing Toshiro to walk away with the scroll using a simple illusion. If he could, he would've been tempted to kill both of them on the spot.
"Hahaha! Old man… this…"
Seeing his sensei's furious expression, Jiraiya scratched his messy white hair in embarrassment and laughed. Internally, he was screaming: It's not my fault I couldn't resist; it's Tsunade and those enchanting beauties... Even the old man, Sandaime, wouldn't be able to resist!
Thinking of the vivid red mark on the chest, the long, stunning legs, and the variety of beautiful figures, Jiraiya's mind wandered. 'I've been away from Konoha for too long. There must be so many new faces...I have to research them!'
New Paradise? Yes! I'll go there tonight to gather materials…
Wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth and the blood from his nose, Jiraiya ignored his sensei's scolding.
"Jiraiya! Are you listening to me?"
Seeing Jiraiya finally snap out of it, the Sandaime Hokage spoke earnestly: "You've seen the current situation. This is when you're needed most. Don't go chasing after the illusory child of prophecy!"
The Flying Thunder God Jutsu had been taken by Toshiro, an Uchiha, and there was no getting it back now. Even if he regretted it, it was too late. It was better to keep Jiraiya in the village to help maintain balance and control over the Uchiha.
