As Ignus and A'moi prepared to leave the city, they realized they needed to return to the Adventurers Guild to hand off the gem they had retrieved. Turning to the Valparian, Ignus smiled warmly.
"Would you like to come with us?" he asked. "We're heading back to the guild, and then we can help you with your village."
The Valparian nodded gratefully, her fox ears perking up. "Thank you," she said softly. "I would appreciate the company."
As they made their way back to the guild, Ignus couldn't help but admire the Valparian's graceful stride. She moved with a quiet elegance, her tail swishing gently behind her.
Upon arriving at the guild, Ignus and A'moi were greeted warmly by the guild master. Ignus handed over the gem, explaining how they had retrieved it from the Heretics. The guild master was impressed and thanked them for their efforts.
"Now, about your village," Ignus said, turning to the Valparian. "Lead the way."
The Valparian led Ignus and A'moi out of the city and towards her village. Along the way, they chatted and joked, lightening the mood despite the serious task ahead.
As Ignus, A'moi, and Roxy traveled towards Roxy's village, their journey was interrupted by a menacing presence. A large, wolf-like creature emerged from the shadows, its black fur blending into the darkness of the night. Its eyes glowed a deep, ominous red, and it snarled menacingly as it eyed the travelers.
Ignus, never one to back down from a challenge, stepped forward, a confident smirk on his face. "Well, well, what do we have here?" he taunted, his voice laced with bravado. "A big, bad wolf looking for trouble?"
The creature growled in response, its eyes narrowing as it prepared to attack. A'moi, usually the more light-hearted of the two, adopted a more serious demeanor, drawing his weapons and readying himself for battle.
"Careful, Ignus," A'moi warned, his tone serious but tinged with a hint of humor. "This one looks like it means business."
Ignus chuckled, twirling his dagger in his hand. "Don't worry, I've dealt with worse," he replied confidently. "Besides, how tough can a big furball like this be?"
With that, Ignus charged at the creature, engaging it in a fierce battle. The creature fought back ferociously, its claws and fangs bared as it tried to overpower Ignus. A'moi joined the fray, his arrows finding their mark as he aimed for the creature's vulnerable spots.
Despite their skill in combat, the creature proved to be a formidable opponent. Ignus found himself getting injured, a rare occurrence for someone who had never been seriously hurt before. Roxy, seeing Ignus's wounds, rushed to his side, her hands glowing with a healing light.
"Ignus, hold still," she said, her voice calm but urgent. "I can heal your wounds."
Ignus reluctantly obeyed, allowing Roxy to heal him. As he felt the warmth of her magic washing over him, he realized the importance of having someone who could heal wounds in their group. In all their adventures, they had never considered the possibility of getting hurt.
Once Ignus was healed, the three adventurers resumed their battle with renewed determination. With Roxy's healing magic and their combined strength, they were able to defeat the creature, sending it fleeing back into the night.
As they caught their breath, Ignus looked at Roxy with newfound respect. "Thanks, Roxy," he said sincerely. "I guess having someone who can heal wounds isn't such a bad idea after all."
Roxy smiled, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Don't mention it," she replied. "Just try not to get hurt too often, okay?"
