Chereads / The Real Legend of Ace / Chapter 17 - An inspiration

Chapter 17 - An inspiration

"1.3 million! Yang Mingze has really helped me." Ye Muchen said to himself.

He took out the laptop that Huang Ming had gifted him on his birthday and started doing some research on a few painting businesses.

An hour later, he found 'Painters Swipers', a four star painting company who charged ¥20 (20 yuan, ¥ is also used for Yen), per wall.

Ye Muchen quickly went up to the last floor, the fourth floor, and counted the number of walls. "1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6.....30 walls, so that means the approximate cost will be...¥600."

Not at all costly for Mister Millionaire Ye Muchen.

He booked an appointment with 'Painters Swipers' on Thursday, 3 pm, currently, it was Sunday.

He went downstairs towards Mei na and started smiling weirdly. "What do you want now? My life?"

"Nope, just some help. Could you help me clear out the boxes on the fourth floor? The Painters are coming here on Thursday at 3 pm."

"Fine...but you have to pay me four hundred per hour."

"Deal! Let's start tomorrow."

The internet cafè was closed on Mondays. Ye Muchen then went behind the reception counters and started playing Legend of Ace for some practice.

8 minutes into the game, came a customer. "Hi, can I get a seat here?" Said an enthusiastic, little boy. Muchen turned off his game and asked the boy, "Hey, sure but where are your parents? I need their confirmation and supervision for you."

"My parents aren't home, they went to their workplaces to work. They handed me a couple hundred and told me to go play till they came back."

Ye Muchen thought how crazy his parents must be on letting a child go out on his own. He grabbed a notepad and a pen.

"What's your name and age?" Alsed Muchen.

"I'm Su Mu Cheng, just like my idol. I'm 8 years old and a professional at Legend of Ace. I can beat half of the professional teams as well."

Ye Muchen was his enthusiastic self in Su Mu Cheng, who pursued his dreams without the support of his parents. He note down the boy's name and age and asked, "Do you remember your mom or dad's phone number?"

"Yeah, it's... wait, I actually don't know."

"Ye Muchen!" Shouted Mei na from a long distance. "Give me a hundred now and then tomorrow four hundred per hour."

"Hey, that was not the deal! That's unfair!"

Mei na smirked and walked away from where she was standing. "Excuse me, my computer froze." Said a customer. Since the computer specialists had gone out to a restaurant to celebrate their boss' birthday party, Ye Muchen could not do anything.

He could only assign a new computer. He came back to the reception and to his surprise, the little boy he met earlier, Su Mu Cheng, vanished.

Panicked, he quickly checked the camera of all floors and found him on the third floor corner. He turned off the CCTV Viewer and climbed three floors up.

"Su Mu Cheng! Didn't I tell you to wait?" Said Ye Muchen. "Actually, you didn't." Replied the boy.

He wasn't lying though. Ye Muchen did not saying anything about moving.

He came near Mu Cheng's computer to tell him to stop playing but instead he saw a wonderful sight.

First Blood

Double Kill

Triple kill

Quadruple Kill

Penta Kill

Ye Muchen was captivated with the achievements Mu Cheng was getting. He was so good at the game, he was even better than Muchen himself.

"Hey! How do you know so much about the game?" Asked Ye Muchen. "I learnt it from my idol, but he left the gaming industry. I'm going to grow up become like him, so I'll practice hard!" Said the boy while concentrating on the game.

"Who's your idol?"

"Ye Mu cheng. He's the ex-captain of SNFX. I still camt believe he really left but it's his choice."

Muchen thought to himself, "Finally, someone smart enough to understand I can do whatever with my life. Should I tell him that I am his idol?"

He sat and watched Mu Cheng play the game professionally. "Su Mucheng, can I tell you something? You can't tell anyone."

"Yeah sure, what is it."

"I am Ye Mu cheng."

The boy's hand immediately stopped working, it just froze. He was flabbergasted, bewildered, taken aback. Did he hear that correctly?

"Sorry, I didn't understand, can you repeat?"

"I said what you heard. I can't expect you to believe me but I can show you my account now."

Ye Muchen signaled the boy to get up from his seat and let him sit. He quit the game being played on the monitor and logged into his account. "You are Swan Lord! I knew it! I knew Master would never actually retire, with his skills, he could last forever." Said Su Mu Cheng.

He continued, "I forgot to ask, can I get your autograph?" Ye Muchen smiled and said, "Of course, where do you want it?"

Su Mu Cheng thought about it for a while and finally made up his mind. "Here, after my wrist. I'll keep outlining it whenever it fades and then when I am old enough, I get a tattoo!"

"You know tattoos aren't accepted in our culture. Plus, it has high chances of catching an infection and you could have your arm amputated. How about your phone case even though you should not be having one." Advised Ye Muchen.

The boy agreed and let his idol sign his phone case.

"Can I get your number?"

"Hey, that's enough. Go back home now."

The boy chuckled and went downstairs, on his way back home. Ye Muchen leaned on the chair.

He logged into the boy's account and saw all of his game details. "His MVP is three hundred and four?!"

He scrolled and scrolled and all he saw were huge numbers. Everyone is good at something, but this child is..... well not even the word crazy could describe him.

He sighed and whispered softly to himself, "Great things take time, but some of them are just in your blood, waiting for you to use it."
