Elara realized it was too late to draw the bow. The Demon had lunged at them with terrifying speed. Out of fear, Elara closed her eyes while protectively hugging Freya as she braced for the Demon's attack.
But instead of pain, they felt a strange sensation around them. Elara opened her eyes slowly and saw a transparent wall surrounding them.
The Demon crashed against the wall and landed on the ground with heavy thuds. He bounced up again and grunted at them but unable to reach them.
Elara looked around in amazement. The inside of the wall was made of shimmering light while the outside was just a plain transparent wall that wasn't different from the atmosphere. They were surprised to see that it protected them from the Demon's attack.
"What is this?" Freya whispered, her voice trembling.
Elara shook her head, equally confused. "I don't know. But it's protecting us." She mumbled, "Could it be from you?" She asked Freya.
