After severally minutes that Alpha Harlan had left Elara alone, he still felt a deep ache in his chest as he sat by the butt, Elara's expression was replaying to him like he was in a film theatre. Her wide eyes and trembling hands haunted him. His thoughts swirling with guilt and sorrow.
"I never wanted to scare her," he muttered to himself. His hands clenched into fists. "She is my Luna. She should never feel this way about me. She'd deserves to know everything about me, didn't she?"
Alpha Harlan leaned his body back against the car till his head rested on the back glass. The car bounced from his weight. Mindless, he closed his eyes. The forest was silent but his mind was loud with regret.
He had shown her a side of himself that he wished didn't exist. A side that was dark, powerful, and destructive. He hated that she had seen it... or maybe he hated that she didn't accept it.
