Elara furrowed her brow in concentration. After a few moments, she felt a slight chill, an unsettling sensation creeping up her spine. Right away, she whispered, "I think I feel something," her eyes were still closed.
"Excellent!" Alpha Harlan responded. "That is the first step. Now, open your eyes and look for signs. Demons often leave traces, like shifting shadows or cold spots."
Elara opened her eyes and scanned the area. She noticed a patch of ground where the grasses seemed withered and dark, almost as if it had been burned.
"Over there!" She said with questioning tone and pointed her finger. "The grasses look different, almost dead."
Alpha Harlan nodded approvingly. "Yes, that is a good sign. Approach it slowly, but stay cautious." He warned, "That is to prevent you from being possessed."
They walked towards the withered grasses, their movements were deliberate and careful. As they got closer, Elara felt the cold sensation intensify.
