Elara nodded. "Thank you, Mother." She curtsied, "I shall retreat to my Quarter now."
Before she got out of the room, Queen Morgana asked, "Do you ask because of Freya?"
Elara looked back sharply. "How did you know Freya?" She was surprised.
"Oh!" Queen Morgana nodded, a knowing smile formed on her face, "You forgot that was the name you kept yelping after the Rite?"
Elara's eyes rolled and lips clipped tightly, "She was just a friend." She replied and simply curtsied before leaving.
Elara could feel Queen Morgana's intent gaze behind her even after she left the room. With creased brow, she thought, 'Why was the old woman seemed fishy? She knew my mother yet she couldn't open up to me. Could she possible know Freya and Fiora?'
Elara flicked her forehead. 'I can't be so dense. There is no way that is happening.'
