Surprise etched on Alpha Vesper's face. He stood there for seconds that felt like hours, staring at Elara aghast.
Having sallowed his surprise, he murmured, "Elara!" his voice soft like he was coaxing his frustration to melt, "What brings you here?"
Elara flinched alongside her panting, she felt as though someone else dragged her to his Quarter. Her eyes met his briefly before looking away. "I need your help," she said quietly. "Alpha Harlan is very sick."
She approached him with a step, "I don't know but you're the only one I can trust for this help."
Alpha Vesper's expression hardened and turned to the counter. He picked up the coin and clenched his fist with it to hide it from her. "Go to his Doctor," he said, his tone was serious. "I'm the least of whom can be of help, you know."
