A shiver traced a chilling path down my spine at the mere mention of the coffin. For me, that coffin represented anything but peace. The anguish I endured within its confines was beyond description, a torment that transcended mere physical pain. Even in my next life, I would always love to steer clear of its sinister embrace.
Perhaps if I were a pure-blooded vampire or a mere mortal transitioning into one, I might have had a glimpse of solace within the coffin's dark depths. Yet, for someone like me, caught in the murky in-between, it was nothing but a vessel of suffering and dread.
When I first arrived at the Crimson coven, the sight before me was not just a mere coffin, it was a grandiose display, adorned with intricate embellishments only fit for royalty. Positioned prominently at the heart of the opulent banquet hall, it served as the focal point for the initiation ritual of new vampires, where they partake in their inaugural blood feast.
