Chapter 24 - Isolation 2

After parting ways with professor Aurora, I went to the Academy Auction house. Phoenix academy has it's own Auction house built only for the cadets Because of the rule that students can't leave the academy grounds once entered until the term ends.

But it has it's own perks because the cadets can do trades among their fellow cadets and Auction the things they find when they are on missions, Earning them extra PC.

" Ok, Let's see how much PC I have. " Avion muttered as he accessed his account info.

Name - Avion Raven Dragonheart

Student Rank - #07689

Phoenix Credits (PC) - 897

Missions ???

" 897 PC huh? Well that's a decent amount I have. This should be enough. "

" Are You ready "

" Yes, Professor Aurora. "

" Then follow me. " Professor Aurora said in her usual demeanor as she gestured me to follow her.

She lead me to the academy portal area as we stopped directly in front of a somewhat bigger portal compared to others. Then she took out a card made of Black Iron which had different patterns engraved on it and gave it to the security guard.

Compared to other security guards who were at most C or B rank. The ones protecting the bigger gate gave off a strong Aura that's equal or higher than A rank.

The guard scanned it throughly and inserted it in to the small card slot which in return activated the Portal prompting it to glow in a brighter shade of gold. The guard then returned the card to Professor Aurora as she gestured me to enter the portal.

The familiar feeling of falling tricked my brain as I entered the portal. But it didn't affected me much this time because I was somewhat used to it by now.

After we entered the Portal, We were greeted with the scenery of a endless valley with the peaks of small mountains covered with clouds. It was around eleven in the morning and the soft rays of sunlight poured through the small holes of the clouds brightening up the whole valley.

If I was in a exploration mission, I would have stayed here for at least a week, But sadly I wasn't.

" Hurry up, I have other classes to attend to. Let's get this over with. " Professor Aurora said in a nonchalant tone.

" Yes, I am coming. "

After a fifteen minutes walk in a rocky road, We were in front of a opening of a cave. In the distance I could see a huge palace in which the head master and his family resides in. At the moment head master is away on a mission, that is the reason why he didn't attended to the welcoming ceremony.

" Before heading in, listen to me carefully." Professor Aurora said to me in a serious tone.

" First, You only get a time limit of two months to stay in isolation chamber, You can shorten the time but not extend it. When the given time limit is over, the ones protecting the isolation chambers will open the doors from the outside. Remember, once entered you won't be able know day and night and you won't be able to leave unless the guards open the doors from outside "

" When inside the isolation chambers, you will be cut out from the outside world because you won't be able to have access to internet or any other communication means. That's all. " She said in a serious tone.

After that she gave me a red Phoenix insignia and told me to show it to the guards and tell them how long I'll be staying there. Then Professor Aurora Left in a hurry. After she left I entered the somewhat dark and creepy looking cave.

There wasn't any electric lights to lighten up the cave and only a few fire torches can be seen along the cave attached on to the wall. After walking for a five minutes the silhouettes of five people came in to my vision.

As I approached near them there faces became visible. They were the guards in charge of the isolation chambers. All of them were wearing full body red armors which had the insignia of a Phoenix engraved in there right shoulders. They gave off an Aura of an A rank soldiers.

" Give me Your Insignia. " One of them told me in a deep voice.

 " Here. "

" How long will you be in isolation. " He asked as he took the insignia in my hand.

" One and a half month. "

" Ok, follow me. " He told me and walked deeper in to the cave.

After a ten minutes walk we were in front of a black iron door which had the shape of the insignia carved in to it. The guard inserted the red insignia I gave him in to the carving. Soon the insignia glowed in a deeper shade of a red color and the door opened Automatically.

" This will be your isolation chamber " He said to me as he gestured me to head inside.

After I went in, the door behind me shut. And now, I am cut out from the outside world.

' Hmm, Let's see how much I can improve those with the help of that. ' I thought to my self and inspected the isolation chamber.

There were low grade mana stones engraved in to the roof which lighten up the whole chamber as noon. Inside the chamber I could see a single bed, a bathroom, a training dummy, a pair of comfortable pants and a storage room which contained mana rich jerkies in sealed Tins that could last a human for at least a year.

*Inhale*

And specially, Let's not forget how rich this place in pure mana. He He.

Before starting to cultivate mana, I took a cool bath and wore the pair of black pants that was in the room. Then I took out black and gold oval shape stone from my ring. It was the size of a ostrich egg.

In the book heroes of the doomed world after Lucas the MC got the essence of the Phoenix Dragon, Another named alchemist unknowingly found the Den of the Phoenix Dragon on his way to find some ingredients for an elixir.

Due to Alchemists nature of paying attention to every details, he found this Oval shape stone Behind the wall due to it's hollow sound. After inspecting it throughly for months secretly, He found out that this is a Mana gem of a hybrid which they threw out from their body after they enters the limit of their rank. And from the quality of the mana gem he concluded that this is a Mythical rank treasure.

Then he created permanent buff potions which increased Strength, Agility and Dexterity with the use of this gem and sold them for an unimaginably higher price in the market. Only the richest of the rich was able to buy this potion. But later in to the story he was assassinated by a rivaling Elixir making power house.

" Now let's see how much benefits will I be able to extract from this gem for myself in this two months time. He He. " I muttered to my self with a smirk.

The process was simple I just need hold the mana gem from both hands. Then inject my own mana into it from one hand and absorb it from the other hand, while Taking in mana from the atmosphere to cultivate. And that is precisely why I came here. Because this place is rich in mana. But it won't be easy, One needs to have a calm and concentrated mind to perform this.

' Of course I have both of them, Heh. ' Smirking, I thought to my self.

Before cultivating with the mana stone, I opened two tins of Jerkies and ate them to fill my stomach. Then I tied my shoulder length hair in to a ponytail while sitting in a meditating pose and grabbing the mana gem from both my hands.

" Here goes nothing. "

*INHALE* *EXHALE*

Taking in a deep breath Avion slowly started to cultivate mana with the help of the Mana Gem. After five minutes in to the cultivation, His veins started to glow in a dark shade of red as impure mana started to come out of his body in a form of black liquid. Slowly his muscle started to spasm and unimaginable pain of muscle fibers ripping apart washed over his whole being.

But he didn't stopped his mana cultivation. The Pain is just a small offering for the greater rewards he'll be receiving. Like this a few hours passed as his body slowly started to get used to the pain temporarily.
