In the chaos of the dormitory hallway, Kendell, Celia, and Coli faced off against the two mysterious hooded figures, their dark auras casting a sinister shadow over the area.
The tall figure, shrouded in a cloak, exuded an air of malevolence. The golden domain that extended from them shifted and pulsed with every movement, distorting space around it. It became clear that this individual possessed the power to bend space within this domain, teleporting anything at will.
The shorter figure, equally menacing, stood enveloped in a black domain, from which skeletal warriors continuously rose, their bones clicking and clanking as they assembled into a macabre army. It was evident that this figure wielded necromantic powers, capable of raising the dead to do their bidding.
Kendell quickly assessed the situation, "Celia, Coli, we need to separate them. Their powers complement each other too well."
Celia nodded, her eyes set on the taller figure. "I'll take the teleporter. Coli, can you handle the necromancer?"
Coli swallowed hard but nodded, his determination clear. "I'll do my best. Kendell, back us up where you can."
Without another word, they sprang into action.
Celia donned her golden demon mask, her body rippling with strength as her Dragonov family ritual enhanced her form as she ran into the fray.
Joining her surge, Kendell wove his shadows into a breastplate around his body, while a sword and shield formed in his hands.
Celia charged at the tall figure, her body enhanced with her ritual's energy. As she closed in, the figure's hand waved, and she suddenly found herself teleported several meters back. Undeterred, she rushed in again, trying to predict and counter the teleportation.
Meanwhile, Coli faced the necromancer, dodging and weaving through the skeletal warriors. He tried to cast his curse, but the relentless tide of bones made it difficult to focus and draw his ritual circle. He needed to get closer to disrupt the necromancer's concentration.
Kendell, utilizing his Shadow Sovereign form, danced between the skeletons, his shadowy weapons slicing through them. He tried to provide cover for Coli, creating openings for him to advance.
The battle was intense, each member of the trio pushed to their limits. Celia's speed and agility were crucial in her duel with the teleporter, each exchange a blur of motion and displaced air. She managed to land a few solid hits, but the figure's ability to teleport with such ease made it difficult to maintain an advantage.
Coli, meanwhile, struggled to get close to the necromancer. The endless wave of skeletons proved a formidable barrier.
In a burst of inspiration, his eyes rolled back and the yellow rabbit-like spirit emerged from his shadow- then, channeling his ritual energy, he used the Fey's power to cast a web of electricity over a large area of the skeletons temporarily restricting them and any that came out of the ground in that location.
Seizing the moment, he lunged forward, aiming to disrupt the necromancer's focus with what was left of his ritual energy. But as he approached, the figure's hand swept over the ground, and more skeletons rose, blocking his path.
Kendell, seeing Coli's plight, darted over, his shadows extending to form a protective barrier around them. "We need to break her concentration!" he shouted, his voice barely audible over the clatter of bones.
In a combined effort, Kendell and Coli pushed forward, their attacks synchronized. Kendell's shadows and Coli's electrical energy worked in tandem, carving a path through the undead.
Kendell formed a bow out of his shadows and began to launch arrows at the hooded figure, only to have all of them warp to behind the figure with a flick of the golden domain caster's hand.
Meanwhile, Celia, realizing the futility of direct attacks, changed her strategy. She began to feint and dodge, using her speed to exhaust the teleporter's reactions. With each feint, she studied their movements, looking for a pattern.
She duck and wove and moved at a monstrous speed due to her enhanced golden demon form that spread around her. Every time she would get close to the teleporters domain, either she would get moved away or the caster would teleport- stopping the encounter.
As the battle raged on, the dormitory hall became a battleground of light, shadows, and arcane energies. The trio fought with everything they had, their skills honed by months of training and their resolve hardened by the unexpected invasion.
But as the fight continued, it became clear that they were outmatched. The hooded figures, with their control over space and the undead, were a formidable force. Kendell realized they needed a different approach – a way to outsmart their opponents rather than overpower them.
"Fall back!" he yelled, "We need a new plan!"
Reluctantly, Celia and Coli disengaged, retreating to regroup with Kendell. As they gathered, panting and bruised, they knew this was just the beginning. The battle for the dormitories was far from over, and they needed to be smarter, faster, and stronger if they were to protect their fellow students and defeat the hooded invaders.
In the relative safety of a secluded corridor, Kendell, Celia, and Coli regrouped, their breaths heavy with exertion and stress. The dormitory echoed with the chaos of the ongoing battle, the clattering of bones and the screams of students creating a cacophony of terror.
"We can't take them head-on," Kendell gasped, trying to catch his breath. "Their abilities are too complementary. We need to disrupt their synergy."
Celia nodded, her mind racing. "The necromancer seems to be the source of the skeletons. If we can take her down or at least disrupt her concentration, we might have a chance."
Coli, still recovering from his exertion, added, "And that teleporter... every time we get close, they just shift us or themselves away. We need to trap them somehow."
Kendell's mind worked frantically, formulating a plan. "Okay, here's what we do. Coli, you focus on keeping the skeletons at bay. Celia, you and I will try to separate the two. If we can isolate the necromancer, we can take her down."
Celia clenched her fists, determination in her eyes. "Got it. What about the teleporter?"
"I have an idea, but I need you to trust me," Kendell said, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "Let's move."
They plunged back into the fray, Kendell leading the way with shadows swirling around him. They encountered groups of skeletons, which Coli managed to hold back with bursts of electrical web, giving Celia and Kendell the opportunity to advance.
Kendell and Celia approached the teleporter, moving in a pattern that seemed random but was meticulously calculated. Kendell had noticed a slight delay in the teleporter's reaction – just a fraction of a second, but it was all they needed.
As they neared, the teleporter waved their hand, ready to shift them away. But at that moment, Kendell unleashed a barrage of shadow arrows, each aimed not at the teleporter but at specific points around them.
The teleporter, reacting instinctively, teleported away – but this time, directly into a trap Kendell had set. A circle of shadowy tendrils erupted from the ground, wrapping around the teleporter and binding them momentarily.
Celia, seizing the opportunity, lunged forward with enhanced speed, delivering a series of powerful blows. The teleporter struggled, then grinned as he laughed and simply teleported out of the trap to a safe distance.
Meanwhile, Coli faced a horde of skeletons, his energy waning. He knew he couldn't keep them at bay for long. Even with the help of the other students, the fight was waning.
The teleporter then waved their hand and moved the necromancer next to him, a short distance away from the main fight, while the necromancer smiled and raised both of her hands.
A new wave of skeletal warriors emerged from the ground wrapped in her aura, all armed with heavier weapons and armor than the last few waves.
The trio looked at each other in desperation as a sickening realization fell upon them, they were being toyed with. The enemies were like cats playing with mice for entertainment before swallowing them whole.
WOOSH
A frigid gust of wind, carrying with it an otherworldly chill, swept through the hallway, snuffing out the residual energies of the battle and plunging the area into an eerie calm.
In the wake of the gust, a series of glowing white ritual circles materialized, etching themselves onto the floors and walls with an arcane precision. Each circle pulsed with an energy that was both mesmerizing and terrifying, radiating a power that seemed to transcend the earthly realm.
Without warning, a bone-chilling snap echoed through the hallway, reverberating with a force that seemed to shake the very foundations of the academy. The ritual circles, now activated, transformed before their eyes.
Each one became a gaping maw of a demon, its edges lined with razor-sharp teeth and a darkness that seemed to devour light itself.
From the depths of these demonic portals, an array of thick, sinuous tentacles emerged, writhing and twisting with a life of their own. They reached out with terrifying speed and precision, targeting the two hooded figures who had orchestrated the skeletal attack.
The tentacles, black as the void and covered in a sheen that reflected the dim light, wrapped around the figures with an unyielding grip.
The taller figure, once exuding an aura of malevolent control, now struggled against the constricting embrace of the tentacles, their golden domain flickering and failing under the overwhelming force.
Similarly, the shorter figure, the necromancer, found themselves ensnared, their black domain collapsing as the tentacles tightened their hold. Any attempts to summon more skeletal warriors or to escape were futile; the demonic tentacles were relentless and unyielding.
As the figures were immobilized, their astonishment and fear were palpable. The unexpected intervention had turned the tide, rendering them powerless.
Kendell, Celia, and Coli watched in awe and trepidation. The sudden appearance of these demonic maws and the rapid incapacitation of their adversaries were beyond anything they had anticipated. They stood frozen, unsure of how to react to this new, overwhelming display of power.
A slow clap began from behind them as Professor Falis walked forwards towards the two hostages.
"Well well well, now who would you be? And how dare you attempt to harm our students. The audacity of you two is immense, do you now know with whom you are dealing with? I am Carios Falis. Holder of the seven demons. Tell me your reasons for attacking our academy or be sent to the pits of hell for torment."
