The cub's voice startled Ren out of his daze. With a steaming cup in his hand, Ren glanced at the little girl happily chatting away with Xion and Kade.
"Here, drink this while it's hot. Your throat is in bad condition," Kade gave Ren the cup of hot tea while taking hot chocolate from his hand.
Ren wanted to say it was fine, but his throat really itched, and this tea was a better drink for him.
Sighing lightly, he drank it. "Whose fault is it that my throat is like this?"
"My bad," Kade replied with zero remorse. He scooted his chair closer while grinning shamelessly.
"Your fault, hmm?" Xion wiggled his eyebrows at both Kade and Ren while Kassie looked at them with wide curious eyes.
"He had a… mental riot," Ren stammered, his blush spreading faster than wildfire. "I had to talk him out of it for hours."
