After three long hours of travel, Ren found himself standing outside the VIP medical room. His hand was raised to knock when Terim came rushing up beside him.
Gasping for breath, sweat dripping down his face, Terim almost crashed into Ren. It was clear he had sprinted all the way from the entrance.
"S-Stop... gasp let me—"
"Take a deep breath," Ren said, gently patting Terim's back. "We can go in once you're ready."
Terim managed a shaky nod, inhaling deeply. "Okay, I'm good to go." He gave Ren an unsteady smile, though the nervousness still lingered in his eyes.
Though he knew it was common in this world for people to have children even after centuries, the age difference between Terim and the baby was a bit much for Ren to digest.
For him, it was strange to think that Terim's youngest sister would be nearly thirty years younger than him. Rather than a sister, she was more like a daughter to both Ren and Terim.
