Ren had been strolling around the garden, with Kade trailing close behind.
"I have the morning off. Let's head out together," Marshal had said, and now the two were ambling through the garden paths.
Oh, how Ren enjoyed the view! It looked like something straight out of a fairytale he had read back on Earth. His eyes sparkled as he took in the sight, his golden pupils trembled slightly. His heart thudded faster in his chest.
It had been a long time since he felt so relaxed and elated. The giddiness of nature was resonating with his own. Ren felt pure joy.
"Do you like it?" Kade asked. However, with the way the older male's lips curled upward, he already had the answer.
"Oh, Kade," Ren said breathlessly. And how could he not, when every inch of the garden seemed to fill his often-empty heart?
To top it all off, there was even a swing under the huge tree which provided perfect shade. It looked cozy enough for Ren to laze his days in.
