Ren ate his medicine obediently under the sharp gaze of Doctor Yarx. Fir, the robot, handed him a glass of water, and Ren drank from it gratefully.
"Good," Doctor Yarx said, his tone softening slightly. "You need to keep up with your medications to heal properly."
Ren nodded, his mind partially drifting away. As he swallowed the pills, he couldn't help but glance at his wrist.
'Little God! I forgot to use my teleportation magic! Ah! I bore everything in vain!'
Ren could have used this bracelet earlier. However, Lyra's terrifying presence scarred him so much that he even forgot about the magic item he had been carrying with him all this time. The system shook its head. It had long since stopped wishing for an intelligent host. It refused to admit that it, too, had been too panicked to remember the thin bracelet hanging on Ren's wrist.
