"Your Highness, I am glad to see you. As for why I'm here... I have to accompany my treasure to his new home, you see," Kade spoke with a light smile, but his words instantly wiped the gentleness from Griffin's eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"Quite the literal thing, Your Highness." Kade's response was calm however, his words were like adding oil to the fire.
Before the sparks could ignite into heated flames, Ren stepped forward. "Dad, remember I told you that I am going to stay with Kade?"
Remember? Of course, I do, Griffin glared at the arrogant Marshal in annoyance.
"I don't agree. How dare you kidnap my son in broad daylight?!"
Kade tilted his head to one side and blinked, looking oh-so-innocent. "Then is it alright if I do so in the middle of the night?"
"You! Scram!"
