"I don't like jewelry per se," Ren said softly, catching Kade off guard. Then, without warning, he leaned in and placed a kiss on Kade's lips. The touch was brief but enough to leave Kade momentarily stunned.
The playful smile dancing on Ren's lips only widened as he backed up toward the entrance of his room. His golden eyes sparkled with such mischief it left Kade in a daze.
"But I really like it when the person giving it to me is someone, I am fond of."
Ren took a few steps back, admiring the way Kade's eyes narrowed at him in response.
I got caught, he thought with amusement, but that didn't stop him from continuing his little game. He took another step back and inside his room.
"Um, I do have a chain lying somewhere. Let me see," Ren added while walking inside his room.
Kade watched him. Slowly, the corner of his lips tilted upward. The ever-pleasing smirk crept onto his face.
