Ren forcefully took a deep breath and tried to steady his rapid heartbeat when he noticed Aric taking a step forward. He summoned all his strength, creating a wave of vines that shot forward like a living net.
They wrapped around the female, tearing the gun from her hands. She struggled, but those vines did not let her move too much.
Before Ren could even think about his next move, Aric kicked his stomach, slamming him into the concrete wall. The impact knocked the air from his lungs. His vision blurred for a second as pain shot through his back.
'Baby, do it!' Ren spoke while standing up with his wobbling legs. He felt a burst of energy rushing through his body. All the holes in the vine wall repaired themselves as Ren moved his neck to get rid of the stiffness.
"Okay, now we can go all out," he muttered. Before Aric could move, Ren punched him square in the face.
