"So, what did you guys do?" the little god asked, trying to sound nonchalant.
Ren glanced at the worried look in those frantic eyes and almost laughed out loud.
This little thing had left him alone and only returned late at night. Ren was about to go to bed when the little god, finally unable to bear the curiosity, ended up asking about Kade.
But Ren wanted to tease his cub. So, instead of answering directly, he made a sad face, hiding the sly smile in his eyes under his lowered eyelashes.
"He wanted to beat me up. I tried to reason with him, saying it wasn't me who pushed him at the academy, but he refused to listen. I barely escaped today. Even you... you left me alone."
Spouting a bunch of nonsense, Ren turned around. He was afraid the cub would see the smile threatening to spill out, so now his back faced the astonished little god.
