Two men have her pinned to the ground, one on each side. A group of others surround her, landing punches and kicks.
Su Jiameng is rendered immobile, pain radiating from head to toe.
Clamped shut, her eyes are squeezed against tears, her body curled into a protective ball. She overestimated Gu Chengli's intolerance towards her.

As his finger traces the picture on the tombstone, a pair of delicate hands reach over, "Mr. Gu, please accept my condolences."
Gu Chengli turns his head to Jiang Yunrou standing beside him.
She bears an identical face to Jiang Yusi.
"Our sister is gone, we're all devastated." Jiang Yunrou says, "The murderer must pay!"
She deliberately leans towards Gu Chengli, but he subtly moves away.
He understands that they are two different individuals.
Gu Chengli asks coldly, "Did Su Jiameng confess?"
Assistant George replies, "Mr. Gu, the mistress has been running a high fever since she was put into prison. She wasn't interrogated."
"Bring her here."
George is shocked but still responds, "Yes, I'll make arrangements immediately."
Jiang Yunrou stokes the fire from the side, "Just sentence her to death and execute her secretly, to avoid unnecessary trouble."
Gu Chengli shoots a sharp, icy glance at her.
"Mr. Gu, I…" Jiang Yunrou startles, "I just want justice for my sister."
He says, offhandedly, "You remind me of Yusi."
Gu Chengli, standing in front of her, dislikes anyone's interference. If not for Jiang Yunrou's face, he would have ordered her removal long ago.
Above all… For reasons he can't quite articulate, how Su Jiameng is handled is his business and shouldn't be dictated by others!
An hour later, Su Jiameng appears, handcuffed.
Running a high fever, her face is pale and her body weak.
Gu Chengli stands upright in front of the tombstone, grabbing her wrist: "Kneel down."

"I'm not guilty. I didn't kill anyone." She replies, "Jiang Yusi's death has nothing to do with me! I was framed!"
Gu Chengli cruelly smirks, "Do you think if you deny it, I can't do anything to you?"
He grabs her chin forcefully, "Do you believe that I can make the entire Su family join Yusi in death!"
Su Jiameng looks at him in shocked disbelief, "Gu Chengli, you can't do this!"
"Scared? If you're scared, confess!"
Her body shakes uncontrollably, "You're so heartless. Can't you spare a thought for our past?"
"Marriage? Have you forgotten how you ended up in my bed?"
"I told you, I didn't set you up with that drug!"
"I don't have time to waste words with you!" Gu Chengli's forehead veins pop out, "In front of Yusi's tombstone, kneel, confess!"
Su Jiameng looks at the man in front of her. He is so heartless towards her.
Her love for him is so draining.
"Gu Chengli, the one who loves you most is me. The one who saved your life is me. The one who gave you a child is still me! You disregard those who love you and adore those who don't. One of these days, you'll regret treating me this way!"
Su Jiameng's head knocks against the cold marble, "I'm guilty, I deserve to die!"
