After freshening up and changing into a light blue outfit, carrying a small white bag, putting on simple makeup, and jasmine-scented perfume, and letting my hair down, I left the hotel room and headed to Sophia's room, which was not too far from mine.
"Mom!"
She greeted me right away, but she was still sitting on the bed with her phone, while her mother was applying makeup at the vanity, making me think she was getting ready to go out.
"Mom, where's Dad? Why are you alone?" Sophia wondered.
I quickly sat next to her, and she immediately hugged me.
"I miss you so much!"
I chuckled, inhaling her fresh, clean scent. Then she let go and looked at me while wrapping her arms around my neck.
"You were so busy yesterday," she said again.
"That's because yesterday was an important day for your dad and me," I said with a smile, while she pouted.
"Where's Dad now?"
