The party was not over, but David left the area and walked towards the balcony terrace, where he saw Kimberly standing and leaning on the black railing while gazing at the sky.
The man approached and cleared his throat.
"Ahem ..."
Kimberly immediately turned around. "Hey ..." She greeted with a slight smile.
"Why are you here?" David asked.
"I was just looking for some fresh air. It's a bit hot and noisy inside," Kimberly replied, looking back at the view of the beautifully lit buildings, streets, and cars, with a sky full of stars.
David remained silent, his eyes unable to leave Kimberly's beauty that captivated him, as it was the first time he saw her so elegant and refined.
Feeling his gaze, Kimberly became nervous and turned to David.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked nervously. "Do I look strange?"
