Joe nodded his head.
"I respect Brandon as my cousin, especially since he's older than me. I thought he was smart and could teach me better things, but I was wrong," he said, biting his lower lip and glancing at the beautiful Aurora with her gray eyes. "He shouldn't have hurt you and his mother just for Victoria, who has hurt him all this time."
"But you know ... Victoria is like that because of his mother," Aurora replied.
"Yes ... And also because of her foolishness ..."
Aurora exhaled harshly, then leaned back on the couch, her head resting as she looked at the orange chandelier in the middle of the room.
Joe reached out and placed his hand on Aurora's.
