Dominique stormed out of the hospital, his jaw clenched so tightly it ached, ignoring Nikolas who was just walking in. Nikolas frowned, his confusion deepening as he watched his brother's rigid back disappear down the corridor.
The hospital had called to inform him that Kalina was awake, so seeing Dominique in such a dark mood didn't make sense. He had expected relief, maybe even joy, not this furious exit.
"What's wrong? Where are you off to, Dom?" Nikolas called after him, his voice laced with concern. But Dominique didn't even slow down, his silence as cold as his expression, leaving Nikolas even more baffled.
