"Delvin." She breathed out, the name catching in her throat as a wave of unease washed over her.
"Hi, Kalina." Delvin greeted her, his smile widening as he stepped further into the room. The way he moved, the confidence in his stride, set her nerves on edge.
"It's not ten yet, is it?" She asked, forcing herself to look at her phone screen. Her stomach churned when she saw it was only a few minutes to nine.
"No, it isn't," Delvin replied, his tone casual as he walked closer, his presence filling the space with an unsettling energy. "But I thought I'd come a bit early." He settled into the chair opposite her desk, his eyes never leaving her face. "Hope that's not a problem."
