The frown on David Park's face was turning darker, but just then a shadow fell over his face. As he slowly raised his face, he noticed Lucas standing there with a grin on his face as he questioned, "Worried about articles? I can help."
"What nonsense!" One of the punks sucking up David Park suddenly stood up, cussing at Lucas because David Park could even open his mouth.
Lucas also looked at amusement as he stared at this guy getting so angry over nothing, and then suddenly the big guy started to push Lucas's chest with his fingers.
"Who do you think you are to interfere in matters here?!" he shouted as he pushed Lucas again and continued, "Who even allowed you here? This is private reserved seating!" he poked again.
"Get the hell out of ---!?" This time, as he was about to poke at Lucas's chest for the third time, suddenly the view of his word changed completely upside down as he noticed his head touching the ground with legs hanging in the air.
"My shirt is a damn expensive fucker..." Lucas scoffed as he dusted off the dust on his black shirt, then took a seat beside the seat of David Park and said, "This is much more peaceful now, right?"
As David Park saw him and that big guy on the ground, a sudden chill ran down his spine as he replied, "Indeed."
David turned towards other punks standing around him in shock, and while waving his hand, he ordered, "You guys, back off for now and take this punk away. I will call when I need you."
"... Yes sir..."
They didn't argue or say a word anymore and just left with the guy as David Park turned to Lucas and noticed his looks.
'Brioni Dress Shirt: 700,000 to 1,200,000; Tom Ford Dress Pants: 900,000 to 1,700,000; Hermès Reversible Leather Belt: 900,000 to 1,400,000; and Christian Louboutin Men's Dress Shoes: 900,000 to 1,700,000
Such expensive outfits aren't something some punk or delinquent of the streets can wear; this guy is loaded yet approaches me in this way. These types are either loaded with money like gods trying to invest in others or just to find amusement, which interferes with others'
A sigh came across the face of David Park as, the next moment he turned to Lucas, he was seen lighting up a cigarette, as Lucas explained.
"I read about your article; it's as fake as it could get; not trying to extort money from a rich guy but complaining about it on the internet; that's some really bad strategy for defamation."
Lucas said that David Park took a moment to nod and replied, "We tried to find the original poster and sue for defamation, yet we can't find the person; it was done anonymous; it's just the usual strategy to defame others, but the views are already over 70k, and it's about to get trending in online forums; that makes it annoying."
"Your opponent is just fanning the flames at this point," Lucas commented with a snigger and, with a confident grin, took a drag from his cigarette, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"So, any recent high-stakes deals or negotiations you've been involved in?" Lucas was questioned as David Park, visibly disturbed by the recent turn of events, hesitated before responding.
"Well, there is a major construction project we're finalising, but it shouldn't lead to such malicious attacks." David explained
Lucas, leaning back, studied David's reaction as he continued to unravel the web of deceit as he questioned with a scoff, "And why do you think so? That it isn't leading to such a malicious attack?"
David Park, perplexed, turned to Lucas and replied, "The other party is the family of my fiance; the business deal is just side business; it's no big deal." He stopped in the middle of his words and questioned, "You still think even then there can be some issues?"
Lucas stared at him with a calculating gaze and coldly replied, "In the business world, reputation is power. A tarnished image can jeopardise deals, partnerships, and investments, and there isn't just this 'one' deal in your life. It might be complicated if I explain to you now; just understand that someone is trying to weaken your position."
As Lucas said that about the situation, David Park began to connect the dots as he questioned, "You might be onto something. But how do I stop this?"
Lucas, with a wry smile, laid out their counter strategy as he crushed the cigerettes and, while leaning forward, explained
"First, we need to counter this narrative. I'll help you navigate through the online world, expose the falsehoods, and redirect the narrative in your favor. Simultaneously, you should tighten security around your business dealings—not just this one but all the ones in the next few months—and keep a close eye on those who might have motives against you. Take priority over the ones who are close to you."
David Park, now more attentive, sought answers to Lucas's unexpected assistance as he questioned, "What do you get out of this? Why help me?"
Lucas, with a mysterious air, stood up and responded, "I just enjoy helping around random kids, especially when it involves taking down those who play dirty. Plus, it's always beneficial to me to say, I'm no saint."
Lucas said that he grabbed a glass of scotch in front of him and said, "Don't be worried too much; we will be solving all the shit in the next two days. Just send me a file of your next dealings; this is my email ID."
Lucas placed a piece of paper on the table and left, waving his hand with a grin on his face as David Park, staring at the paper, muttered, "Why does he even think I will reveal my next business dealing to a random guy I met in the pub?"
David Park muttered that, but the next instant he took the paper and hid in his suit with a sigh as he took a drink on his own, while on the other side, Lucas was seen taking a seat on the other side of the pub and taking out his phone.
'Situation is quite clear... It's just that the situation with him is a bit complicated; if I explain it to him in a straight-forward manner with my level of importance in his life compared to other parties, he will get offended and turn against me, taking me as a bad person in his life...' Lucas thought as he took in all the drinks and left the glass for one of the servers walking by.
"Hey, Oppa, we didn't see you before. Are you new to the club?"
"You are so handsome. Can we have a talk?"
Lucas was suddenly approached by two girls there inside the pub, and as he turned to look, he noticed them both staring at him with weird gazes.
Suddenly a grin emerged over Lucas's face as he replied with a smile, "Oh, I'm new~ are you regular?" Lucas said that suddenly the faces of these two ladies turned red as they replied.
"O-oh?! We! We are..."
"We heard you talking to David Park, oppa, so we thought you were friends; we are actually friends of his fiance; she also comes here a few times." As Lucas heard that, his eyes lit up as he suddenly spread both his arms around their shoulders and commented.
"Haha! What a coincidence! It turns out to be all friends; why don't we talk in detail?
"Should we? Haha..."
"Ah, we should..."
The two girls were taken by the flow in an instant as Lucas brought them along to private driving chambers inside, and while sliding his credit card, a grin flashed through his face. 'It might not be getting as complicated as I expected.
"Ahn, oppa, come here!"
"Wow, your muscles are so good!"
'Remember Jason! Your Hyung sacrificed his body for you!' And with that, Lucas drowned in a sea of sweat and blood, a sacrifice forever remembered in tales of brotherhood.
