Chapter 4 - The Bike

"Where did this guy even pop out from? He's too intimidating; even the bullies at the school feel easy. What the hell is with the guy's body? Was he in some sports before?"

Ethan was seen muttering while he was cutting veggies and preparing for dinner while thinking of Lucas, who has left a deep impression on him right from the first day, as he was suddenly reminded of Lucas's glowing pupils and enormous physique, all filled with tight iron-shut muscles.

"Are we really coming from the same genetics?"

Ethan's gaze was now over his own arm; it was rather quite skinny when compared to Lucas's giant tight ones. To begin with, Ethan himself wasn't too bad; rather, he was quite average.

His plain face and ordinary physique, his presence, and his aura weren't any special either. Meanwhile,  as he compared himself with Lucas, the only thing that he could match with Lucas was his similar green pupils, but even in that, his gaze was too different.

If Ethan was some cute innocent puppy with innocent eyes, then Lucas was definitely Fenrir of Asgard; his eyes were those of hunters, and the special sharp glow in those eyes was several stages ahead of ordinary human standards.

Slowly, Ethan's memory surfaced over the 10 rings Lucas wore in all his hand fingers; each one was at least one inch large and quite thick as well. Quite clearly, they were part of some brand collection, fitting perfectly over that right bony arm grip as if honed and forged like a weapon.

"What the hell is he made of?"

Ethan was filled with goosebumps just thinking about it in a daze, but the daze burst open as the next second suddenly the neighbour was filled with wild noises of bikes as if someone were firing machine guns in the area.

*Thump! Thump! Thump!*

"What the hell!?"

Ethan, just coming out of his daze, was instantly taken aback by the sudden loud noise of that gunfire-like noise outside. He accidently cut off his own finger by mistake, and in a moment of rage and instincts, he immediately rushed out of the kitchen. As he opened his front door to look and scream at someone making noises, he was instantly greeted by the bright headlight of an enormous bike right in front of his face, with the bike facing the front door.

"Who the hell?"

"Wussup geek?"

Ethan was once again greeted by that familiar voice calling him a geek, and next, the man riding the bike closed off his bike's headlight, revealing his own face.

"You..."

"Oh? I brought it because it gets too crowded in this place; I don't like the weird gazes; the women here are perverted."

Lucas, muttering with a frowny, awkward face, came down from the bike, taking off the keychains, and along with the things he brought, he casually walked inside the house with a sigh.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Did you just bring a fucking classic edition BMW R18? Just like that!? That's worth $25 million! 25 Million!!! What the fuck do you even do as a job for that kind of money!?"

"Too bad... There wasn't any better one; it was still unexpected that one could find such a bike in this area."

Lucas casually scoffed it off, and while tossing his keychain, his gaze suddenly moved over to the cut wound on Ethan's fingers, which had now started to bleed hard.

"Are you inviting the devil into the house to kill me at night now? What's with the cut wound?"

"I'm not a cultist! Do you really think such people exist!?"

Ethan immediately shouted back while being a bit embarrassed. Lucas, on the other hand, just nodded while taking a bite of the fruit he brought with himself while placing the shopping bag on the table and confidently replied as if the source were his own experience.

"There really are quite a few; I know some personally. Anyway, I don't want the devil to come this way, smelling your blood."

Lucas sighed, and taking the bandage from his shopping bag, he immediately grabbed Ethan's left hand and dragged him over to wash. He cleaned up the wound, and mercilessly rolling the medicine liquid that sting like a bee's needle, he immediately started to roll up the bandage.

"Awwwuuu!"

"What the hell? Are you a werewolf now? Childish"

Lucas scoffed off Ethan's groans, and while purposefully slapping a few more times on his wound like an asshole, he left the ground floor with his shopping bag.

"Heck! You did it purposefully!!! And place your bike somewhere else; it's blocking the door!!!"

Ethan smashed the washing sponge on the ground and immediately screamed at Lucas as he walked upstairs, but Lucas didn't even seem to care, as he casually replied.

"Like hell, I will at this time, but I might consider letting you ride the bike if you can carry the weight with those chicken legs of yours."

"Let me ride. For real! Hey! Are you for real!? Hey! Hey!!!"

Lucas didn't answer Ethan's excitement for the night and silently closed off his room's door with a little smile on his face and started taking out things from the bag. There wasn't much that he brought, just a few snacks like chocolate bars, chip packets, and a box of cigarettes, along with some fruit packages that he had already placed in the fridge before walking upstairs.

"This kid is such a greedy asshole."

Lucas muttered as he lit up his cigarette and opened the window. While leaning on the widow and enjoying a clear, straight view of the stars in the sky, he started thinking up a little sentence from Ethan about what can go unnoticed by most.

"What the hell do I do as a job to have so much money, huh?"

Lucas muttered that, and as his gaze fell down over the bike downstairs, along with several kids in the neighbourhood coming out because of noise earlier and looking at the bike in surprise

"Now that's an issue..."

Lucas took a deep breath coldly as only the memories of blood, bonds, and battles flashed inside his mind. His past wasn't any way bright from the way he acted, and it's more than clear that with his age being just 25, where many people just finish college and university graduation, he was here casually buying a 25 million won bike on his way to shopping for snacks, no less.

"Although it was a needed item, was my way of buying things this casual? The employee of the showroom helped me quite a bit with documents, but still, considering that... It does feel a bit out of the ordinary for a middle-class lifestyle."

Lucas muttered that his gaze was shrinking up a bit in an unsettling inner feeling, and he crushed the remaining left-out cigerette under his fingers and tossed it away.

"Oh!!! Oppa! Is that your bike?"

"Are you the brother of Ethan Hyung living here?!"

"What the hell! I never saw you before!"

"Sooo handsome!!! Can we meet you tomorrow!?"

The gaze of those kids outside the house easily moved over Lucas leaning over the window on the upper floor. The kids were excited; there were about six of them looking to be around middle school and high school, all waving hands towards Lucas with sparking eyes.

"Haha, yes, let's meet tomorrow."

Lucas responded quite respectfully with the kids waving his hand back with a kind face. The parents of the kids also came out of their houses and called the kids back for causing noises outside at night, but even their gazes went over Lucas for a moment, and they also exchanged polite greetings with kind smiles. Lucas, with just his face alone, managed to leave a good impression over his neighbours without a word, unlike Ethan, who had his highest streak of being ignored in the neighbourhood.

"Fuck you!!! Fuck you! You bastards who said a good face isn't anything good!!! Fuck you!!!"

Ethan watching everything from the window downstairs just cursed again and again in frustration, right under his breath, and closing off curtains in frustration, just left to eat what he cooked.

"Funny asshole"

Lucas also scoffed at seeing the shadow of the window closing while himself standing upstairs. He also closed off the window and curtain and, with a smile, closed the lights and went to sleep on the bed.

'The first day wasn't bad; it was annoying at the beginning and a bit frustrating in the middle, but by the end it was warm and soft. New things are always a bit surprising. Maybe getting slowly accustomed to it and getting used to it won't be too hard.

I should give the little geek a ride to university tomorrow morning; he should be at that age, right? I didn't even ask what he was doing. Maybe I should try a bit tomorrow...'

Thinking all that, Lucas didn't even realise when he fell asleep right there on spot, but at the same time he didn't realise Siha Park's streaming popularity and sudden rise in his mysterious rise in popularity. With just one accidental appearance, he was now one destined to rise in popularity before mysteriously vanishing only to return as a god in this field, but that's one story for the upcoming future.
