During high school, Qin Lixin and his friends lived in dormitories against the wishes of their families and rarely went back to their homes. After he finished school, Qin Lixin requested his own apartment, and it became even more impossible to have him in Su Residence.
It was just Qin Mansion he returned every weekend because of the compulsion made by his mother otherwise he detested going anywhere else.
From the past experiences, there was a ninety-percent chance that he would decline the request but Old Madam Su still kept on staring at him with her sparkling-hopeful eyes. In the end, she grew tired of waiting for his response and muttered with an annoyance, "If you are not comfortable, just go back."
The corner of Qin Lixin's frosty lips went up.
He had not even answered.
Ever since he was a kid, Qin Lixin's parents stayed out of the country attending business meetings all year long. Hence, during that period he would stay with his maternal grandparents. In a way, he had been raised by them for which they held a very special corner in his heart.
She shooed him away angrily, "Go! Go! Return to your place and sleep! It is late."
His grandma was rather cute. Qin Lixin had always wondered on whom his mother went but it was surely not his grandma. His grandma was simply a sweet lady.
"When did I say that I want to go back?" He asked deliberately with a hidden meaning.
Old Madam Su got agitated by it, "So did you say that you would st-! Wait- Does that mean you would be staying?" Her eyes twinkled with happiness seeing which Qin Lixin's smile froze for a millisecond before he nodded with a charming smile.
"Wait! Just wait for a few minutes! Let me instantly get the maids to make sure that there is nothing wrong with your room."
"There is no need for that, grandma. I know you force them to clean the room every day."
Assistant Fang's lips crept upwards at the deferential answer of his young master.
Had it been Qin Mansion and if Madam Qin was the one to ask him to wait, he didn't even need to imagine what would have followed.
Certainly, Young Master Qin wouldn't have taken a second to kick out all the cleaning staff of the mansion saying if it had to be done only when he would return, what's even the point of paying them monthly?
But then again, it was not Qin Mansion and it was nearly impossible for Madam Qin to be concerned about anything except for the business. It was only with his grandparents and friends that Young Master Qin was a completely different person or maybe showed his real personality.
"Okay, go and sleep. If you would need anything, don't hesitate to call the maids." Old Madam Su spoke sweetly while caressing his side face.
"Ok, grandma. Good night." Qin Lixin darted to his room after signalling the maids to not follow him.
In the morning, Old Master Su was having tea when Qin Lixin went to him.
"Oh- Qin Lixin? When did you come?" Qin Lixin smiled mockingly when he saw his grandfather so energetic early in the morning.
"Just when you were having a peaceful sleep after disrupting mine."
"You know how your grandmother is. She easily gets anxious when it comes to my health but you shouldn't be like her. Staying up all night because of such a minor issue is not a good thing." Old Master Su advised after noticing dark bags under his eyes.
"Who didn't have a good sleep because of the concern for your health?" Qin Lixin snorted. "I am talking about you disrupting my trip."
"You were on a trip?" Old Master Su questioned acting oblivious. "I am sorry about it." His contrasting unapologetic tone was enough to let Qin Lixin know how much unaffected hia grannndfather was because of that.
"Don't try to act oblivious!" Qin Lixin frustratedly spoke.
An old happy laugh resounded in the room.
Old Master Su glanced with his smiley eyes at him. "Okay, I won't. Don't worry it was just a single trip. I know you will have many more in the upcoming years to enjoy. Who knows the next time you might also have a girl as your woman by your side?" He smiled knowingly at Qin Lixin.
If there was something that everyone was most interested in was the kind of girl he would date.
"If you can't say something nice, don't say something bad too." Qin Lixin muttered with a low growl.
"You are acting like this now but when you would fall in love, you would be the same person to bring her to meet us."
"Stop imagining something that would never happen."
"I have been through that phase, my dear grandson. You never know what destiny has kept stored for you." Old Master Su winked as he took a sip of tea.
Qin Lixin gazed at his grandfather deeply and replied, "Maybe something similar to what was kept in store for my parents."

Zhao Yuhui was in deep slumber when her phone vibrated and rang. The regular pattern of the sharp sound came straight piercing her dream and leading an annoying frown to light on her face.
Her brows furrowed because of the unpleasant disturbance but the next second she just turned her back towards the side table where her phone was kept and brought the pillows up to cover her ears before going back to the dreamland.
The phone rang for another one minute and went off. Just when relief and peace had once again dispersed over the room, the screen lit up and this time the phone went on to ring for the next five minutes.
A groan of complaint came out of her throat when it didn't stop ringing and she was forced to open her eyes.
Zhao Yuhui tilted her head back and glared at the phone with deep protest. Frustratedly rolling over to the other side of the bed, she fetched the phone to see who it was. She swore if it was Chen Peiling calling only to enquire about her health it wouldn't be good for her.
As Zhao Yuhui joined the letters together and read the name of the caller, it didn't even take a second for her drowsiness and sleepiness to dissipate.
'Manager Liu'
In a flash, she got up and hastily brought the phone near her eyes just to confirm that she didn't get the name wrong.
'Manager Liu'
It was really her! Zhao Yuhui felt nervous as she swept the green icon to accept the incoming call. Who wouldn't be? First of all, she was getting call from the head manager who rarely called and the second thing was that she kept the same caller waiting for so long. "Hello? Sister Liu?"
