Mordeu slowly brought his cold eyes to Freya's. He looked so angry that it was impossible for him to utter a word. He glared at her, using all the hate he held towards Kai to send a stern glare her way.
Freya, who was the recipient of such a shockingly strong animous glare, was the least affected by it. She laughed while examining his expression, totally relieved that she had gotten something out of him. She laughed mockingly, throwing her head back, almost toppling off her horse.
The idea of being even slightly infatuated with Cillian was impossible for Mordeu. He couldn't even allow himself to entertain the thought because he could feel his gut begin to churn at the possibility. He guessed that Freya's words had only originated from her pleasure in the mischievous trick that existed within her. But even with that knowledge, the grimace that his expression took was a tad too serious, which caused Freya to laugh out loud with undeniable mirth.
