"What happened?" Mordeu was oblivious to the crease between her eyebrows and the suddenly strange look that descended her features.
"Between Alana and me."
It was Mordeu's time to pause. His pants were already fitted around his waist, his upper body was bare, about to clothe it when those words wafted into his ears.
He tried to hide his grimace, but it was remarkably impossible; luckily for him, Freya had her eyes fixed on the activity at hand.
"What happened?" Mordeu guessed that at this point, the best thing he could do was be a friend to Freya when she needed one. This confession must have only been made if turmoil existed in her heart.
"We slept together," Freya said without raising her eyes.
"And it's awkward for you?"
Freya paused as she was about to fix her weapons in. "No, but I think it's awkward for her."
She finally brought her eyes to Mordeu's. "You see, from what I know, Alana has never been with anyone."
