Chapter 75 - The Queen's Arrival

Early in the morning, a carriage coming from the direction of Scotland was moving quickly on the narrow and muddy road, and dozens of knights dressed in armor slowed down and marched slowly around the carriage.

"Hey! Why are you, the Scottish Queen, so quiet today? It's not normal!"

A knight couldn't hold back his inner doubts and looked at the gorgeous carriage that was traveling calmly, vocally asking his companion beside him.

"Huh! She's cried and fussed all the way to Windsor Castle these past eight days, and even at the tender age of five she knows she can't go back to Scotland!"

Even the Knight, who had always been a steady character, could not help but make a fuss over the past few days.

"Yeah! If it weren't for the fact that she's our future queen, I wouldn't bother to watch over her!"

"Don't talk nonsense, this is our duty, understand?" The stable knight stopped his words and spoke in a warning tone.

Inside the carriage protected by a regiment of knights, Her Majesty Mary, the current Queen of Scotland, was sitting on the cushions of the carriage, looking at Kathy, who had been sent by her own mother to take care of her, with a tearful look on her face.

"Mary! Don't cry anymore, let's be good together, okay?" Looking at Mary whose eyes were red and swollen, Kathy couldn't help but feel the pain in her heart, she was witnessing how Mary slowly grew up from infancy to the present.

Kathy, who had never had any children, considered Mary her own daughter, and she was the one who played with Mary when she was busy with the Dowager Empress.

"But I miss my mommy, and I don't want to leave my mommy, and I don't want England! And I don't want to marry that king of England called Love What's-His-Name."

Mary rubbed her red, swollen eyes and puffed out her pink cheeks as she pouted toward Casey.

"But it's something your father has set before! You can't go back on it!"

"And every year mommy will come to see you, Mary is too old to cry!"

Kathy knew at the sight of the fierce group of women that this was not Scottish and that it was not coming from a good place!

Sure enough, once she had escorted Mary out of the abbey, she saw soldiers in England's finery staring intently at Mary behind her.

With the realization that nothing could be undone, she took it upon herself to spill the beans to Mary, that it was she who was going to marry the King of England.

So she kept comforting the weeping Mary along the way, knowing that how she and Mary would fare in the days to come depended on the sickly, frail King of England-Edward VI.

"Your Majesty! Your fiancée Mary Queen of Scots is arriving today! You're still reading here!"

Luna had been busy all day packing up Windsor Castle in order to welcome the future Queen of England, and had been so busy that she had hardly stopped.

Instead, its kingly majesty had been reading a book, with no intention of preparing for his future wife.

"Okay! Got it, coming right up, after I finish this page!" Edward couldn't help but to casually perfume when he heard the urging of his head housekeeper, Luna.

"My king's majesty, the knight who sent the message came an hour ago your betrothed is only three hours away! Perhaps less!"

"Come! Lucy, bring His Majesty's clothes, and I will help His dear Majesty to dress!"

Luna, on the other hand, had already expected Edward to be like this, and instructed Lucy, who was holding the clothes aside.

"Alas! What a good housekeeper you are, my Lord Butler!" Edward helplessly put down the book he was holding and got up from his seat so that Luna could help him dress.

"Hello! Your Majesty the King, aren't you excited to see your fiancée soon?"

Luna joined Lucy in helping Edward in his cumbersome kingly finery, and looking at Edward's lifeless look, Lucy couldn't help but interject a question.

"What's there to get worked up about, a five year old girl who just cries all day!"

Edward's mouth was indifferent, but in fact, his heart had an unexplained excitement.

This was the biggest time he had changed the course of history in the past few years since he was reborn, and this time, the achievement, as well as a sense of superiority as a traveler, almost burst his insides!

There is also a popular saying how to come, lolita has three good things, light voice, soft body, easy to push down.

Blah blah blah! I am the king of a country, how could I have such lewd thoughts! This is my future wife. Sooner or later, I'll push, there's no rush.

While things were on his mind, his body was quickly changed and dressed, and a king with majesty appeared in the room.

Then Edward went on his reading spree, Luna and Lucy saw this and let him, and the two of them checked the cleaning of the castle.

Time passed without Edward realizing it as he read.

"Your Majesty! Her Majesty the Queen of Scotland has arrived at the castle!"

Then came a dainty, lovely maid, softly speaking at Edward's side.

"Good! You lead the way!" It took Edward a moment to wake up to the fact that that wife of his was at his doorstep.

Edward and the maid walked one step at a time, and soon they reached the hall covered with red carpets and flowers.

Edward's arrival caused all eyes in the hall to shift to him, which made him a little uncomfortable.

"Welcome, lovely Lady Mary, and Lady Kathy!"

Edward approached to see a loli holding the hand of a woman in her thirties dressed as a maid, looking around timidly with a troubled look in her eyes.

At the sound of Edward's voice, Lori's gaze went to Edward, her churlish eyes staring at him as if pondering his identity.

"Are you the king of England?" Lori's voice had a somewhat dainty ring to it.

"Yes! Will brother show you the fish?" Edward's voice was full of seduction, as if looking at fish was just a lot of fun.

Mary craned her head to look at Kathy beside her, and when she got a nod from her, she hurriedly took Edward's hand and couldn't wait to see the fish.

And it was only on the third day of Mary's disappearance that the Dowager Empress Mary, who was in Edinburgh, learned that her daughter had been taken captive by the English.

"Wastes! You're all a bunch of losers, you can't even keep an eye on your queen when you're told to, what use do I have for you, raise a dog and it'll keep an eye on the house!"

Empress Mary's heart was seething with anger at the moment, her mind was filled with nothing but her daughter's figure, and Her Majesty the Empress Dowager, who was usually gentle and virtuous, revealed her frightening side in front of her men.

She was like a lioness who had lost her cubs, and her whole body exuded an aura of danger.

"Your Majesty! We did not expect the English to make it to the top of the hill by way of the road! We guarded the mountain without knowing anything about it!"

"It's all our fault! Please punish us!" The palace guard chief knelt on one leg, his face full of remorse.

"Okay! You get off! Exempt you from half a year's salary, exempt from the position of head of the guard, now temporarily take the position of head of the guard, this matter I also have responsibility!" Venting a bit, Queen Mary knew that things were irreparable, for this knight who brought loyalty from France, Queen Mary didn't want to chastise him too much.
