This was a world he had once been interested in… well the entire world was interested in it but few pushed that beyond the movies and into the comics.
The few that did would understand the horrors of this realm. That bastard had really ripped him off, he would have preferred being handicapped and dropped off in the DC Universe than here. ( A/N: I actually mean this]
However it was what he had. He would have thought to kill himself and just end it now that he could but God knows, he had grown attached to this family.
His family didn't have anything special to it, family history was normal going back twelve generations, they were neither rich nor poor and they were all healthy.
There wasnt really much going on in his life at the moment save for the fact that he was trying his best to master as many fields as possible. The sciences in this world was fascinating.
That much must be said but they were frustrating as well… why… the answer was simple and could be answered within two names. Reed Richards and Bruce Banner.
Reed's name was mentioned in practically everything he had studied so far. From the outside world perspective, it was nigh-impossible to tell how high up Reed was in the scientific community.
Researchers referenced him dutifully as though he was a god. Using his work to support your research and he approves was nothing short of you receiving divine aid from God himself.
Bruce Banner himself wasn't really all that different, he too was popularly known to be a polymath and was well published in every field. What you don't see in the comics is the fact that Bruce Banner had debated Reed Richards on several occasions and even won.
He had been coming here ever since he convinced his mother he could go out on his own and since that time, he had read hundreds of books with both names sited in it or just written in it.
It was a good fact to know but it also meant that this world's sciences were annoyingly different from the normal world's. He wouldn't say that he was a genius back on real Earth but he could remember most things and very few things in those books matched.
It wasn't exactly something he liked since he wanted to have his edge over others but unfortunately, this meant that he had to start from scratch all over again but thankfully he had the mind of an adult and the brain of a young child.
There was nothing under the sun he couldn't learn in his formative years. He planned to take advantage of the standard 'baby brain' thing for as long as he could.
His mind allowed him to put together organised thoughts and his brain naturally absorbed information like a black hole. Combining these two had created a monster, he believed only the top smart people of this world could match.
"Mrs Matilda, i am done with these" David said as he carried the books he had read back to the Librarian.
"David, i had told you that you are not to return any books, keep it on the table closest to you and i will handle it" the lady said with a smile on her face as she collected the books from the young boy
"I know but this place is better" David replied before flashing a bright smile, her way.
"If only your mother understood the kind of genius you are" the lady said before standing up
"So what books would you like me to get you now" she continued as she walked around her desk to meet with david
"Those ones" David replied pointing towards the general direction of the genre of books he needed.
