I always dreamed about books. The one I read, heard about or just that I've seen their covers. Books transported me to different kinds of worlds, characters, timeline and even space. But I'd never known my favorite genre would happen to me.
Transmigration.
When did it happen? Years ago.
How? By dying.
"What?" You may wonder, but I died, who knows why, while changing the plot of the story of my idol author. Jet Vee.
No no, I'm not making fan fictions, nor am I trying to copy his works, just sometimes, I didn't like how a chapter or an arc was written, so I wrote them how I wanted, for personal uses only.
So why.was.I.brought.here.đ WellâŚ
As I finished typing the last words: The richest, coolest and most powerful person could only be me, I got struck by an intense electric shock and miserably passed awayâŚ
"Pathetic"
I raised my head and habitually used 7 points of contempt and 3 points of indifference in my gaze. Though I was inwardly wondering who this lady could be to treat me in such a way.
She quickly became insulted and coldly looked at me with her piercing red eyes.
"Did you truly think that by doing this, you could attract his attention?"
She fiercely scrowled.
"Using your pretty green eyes to distract him?"
'Green eyes?'
I ignored her and observed my surroundings. I was in a kind of changing room filled with other teen girls glancing at us or just blatantly looking.
"Look at me while I'm talking. I'm your captain, and you owe all of us an explanation."
I returned my eyes down to her, and I finally had an idea of what's happening.
This red eyed, red hair could only be the protagonist of Jet Vee's new release, Vanessia. He focuses more on fantasy novels with female main characters born having unique features. This one was called "Wait till I hit my head".
Contrary to its funny title, the book was no comedy.
The female lead had always been a smart and kind kid. She surpassed most of her classmates in almost everything except magic.
Yes, this world has magic. And she sucked at it. Her mana quantity was pitiful and she couldn't control it well. She was born in a modest family that couldn't even support themselves since the father got kidnapped when she just turned 13 and her mother instantly got sick 0lus had a gorgeous face. Which caused her to be harassed constantly by the "higher tier".
Till she was 14. Ziracity Bolivia Minaretti joined the school in the middle of the year. She was rich, had powerful magic and a cold personality. Rumors said that watching too long into her emerald eyes would freeze your blood.
She was a foreign Emperor's daughter with high ambitions and wanted to make as many connections as she could for the good of her empire.
Then, one day her eyes fell on Vanessia and immediately knew she had to recruit her. She then protected her from the mean nobles, helped her mother find the best healer and even helped her search for her father.
They were best friends, Ziracity considered them as such too and held a lot of affection towards Vanessia. However things suddenly took a turn when they were 17 years old.
One day, both of them and a bunch of other friends went riding Xiaxue (riding mounts similar to horses but has a small percentage of dragon blood) after a nice fancy brunch.
The air was clean, the atmosphère was filled with laughter and smiles, their belly full..but unexpectedly (?) Ziracity's Xioxue went mad and dashed straight towards Vanessia. She could only hold the reins tightly trying to make it change direction. It didn't obey and finished his course tumbling down on the floor with the lady thrown a few meters away.
Vanessia got hit in full force and died. Yes, I died. But thinking of her sick mother and the recent disappearance of her father, she willingly gave her body to a soul crossing to the other side.
This soul's name was Olive, an avid fan of "Revenge of the red eyed mage", the original name of the book.
She excused her change of personality because of the accident when she woke up. However, Ziracity truly did lose her memories and character at the same time.
She was originally a shy person, but she couldn't stay like this because her position would not allow it. She became cold, fearless and authoritative so that her Empire will be striving for the longest time. She came to "Versailles Academy" to learn more skills like communication, leadership, etc.
The Academy was in a neutral territory in a closed off huge Island surrounded by the endless ocean. The students could choose their subjects from a variety of choices starting from engineering, to battle mage, to politics, to science⌠truly no one wouldn't be able to not have what they're interested in there.
Ziracity chose politics, battle mage and comprehensive psychology on mass courses. Fights and magic were hobbies while the rest was for her future reign. She organized her time and followed it like a robot. She made it approved by her doctor, favorite army commander and her nutritionist.
That black haired woman wouldn't leave anything to chance. Except friends. She always thought that the best relationships were between useful and efficient partners, but when she met Vanessia her opinion quickly but perplexedly changed. Her warm, human side could be let out without worries.
She would hate meaningless trips to places just for "fun", until the red eyed girl would stop inviting her. Her eyes would furtively look towards the window as if expecting something, or perhaps, someone to come "bother" her again.
Either way one thing led to another and she finally accepted Vannssia's friendship. Her kindness, wits and lovely smile melted the famous Ice Queen's heart.
She was everything Olive wasn't.
Olive is a selfish, mean and judgemental entity. She towers over people with her false sense of superiority. Why is she the female lead of the "Wait till I hit my head" book?
Her strength, ruthlessness and deep intelligence, are good answers, but her magic prowess was the most shocking. Her soul was so powerful she put all the "geniuses" of the school to shame.
She quickly climbed ranks and got to the seat of captain of the Golden Snakes.
I lightly shook my head to come back to the present.
"So?" She says impatiently tapping her fingers on her crossed arms waiting for an answer.
I tilted my head wondering if I had to respond. Olive and I had one thing in common.
We don't hide.
