Rachael wasn't in her right state of mind, so whoever or whatever that came close to her was considered a danger or an enemy. Immediately Jay and the others came close to her, she sensed danger but didn't react but when Lizzy grabbed her, she fought back by strangling her.
"Rachael what are you doing, let her go!!" Lucas tried to free Lizzy from Rachael's grasp but she just pushed him away.
Lucas fell very hard and Lizzy was choking, her neck was turning red and her eyes were slowly losing focus. It was said that when an animal loses control, and you call it by its given name, they will get their senses back (in some cases).
So Liam and Kyler tried calling her name thinking she was like them. "Rachael, Rachael, Rachael Martins, Rachael!!" But nothing happened, they tried freeing her hand but to no avail.
After Rachael had that dream, she was confused and lost in the darkness, no matter how far she ran, she never found an exit, even when she screamed she didn't know if the scream reached her mouth or was actually in her head. So she just sat there crying to herself. She felt she was hurting someone, but she didn't know if it was actually real.
When they saw that they couldn't remove her hand from Lizzy's neck, they decided to use the last method; which was to knock her out, because they saw that the person sitting there wasn't the Rachael Martins they knew.
Lizzy thought she was going to die because no matter how hard they hit her, she never flinched, it was as if they were hitting a rock.
Lizzy couldn't take it anymore, she started crying "Rachael please stop, I am begging you please, if I have wronged you please stop', I am sorry, so please stop".
When Lizzy's tears dropped on Rachael's hand, it was as if Rachael found a light in the tunnel which was dark, so she followed the light out and it was at that moment she came back to her senses.
"What am I doing? She was shocked," Lizzy are you okay, are you hurt".
Everyone was relieved that Rachael was finally back, but Lizzy was very scared that she instinctively shifted backwards when Rachael tried to touch her.
Rachael was hurt, then she remembered when she was in high school. After taking her bath at night, she didn't remember what happened but it was like when she opened her eyes it was another day but it was only three hours, it was as if she was asleep and when she woke up she saw herself in a bloody nightgown, when she tried to ask her nanny what happened, her nanny also gave the reaction
Lizzy gave her a scare. She was so scared that she fainted. The next day, the nanny resigned, and when she asked her parents about what happened to the nanny, they just gave an excuse.
"Am sorry Lizzy, I didn't mean to, I was trapped in a nightmare, am sorry" Rachael apologized but when she saw their questioning gaze, she stood up, bowed down, apologized again and ran out because she was scared of their questioning gazes, she was scared of them asking her the one question which she didn't know the answer to and still haven't gotten an answer to.
"Lizzy let's bandage the wound first okay," Lizzy nodded and left with Emily, Kyler and Lucas.
After they left Jay quickly rushed up to Gabriel and said
"Did you see that Gab, I told you she isn't an ordinary person." " I don't think she's like us because no matter how we called her name she didn't respond and besides she doesn't smell like us, her scent is a little bit off. I think she is a ...…"
Jezel said but didn't complete her sentence because Gabriel gave her a scary look so she shut her mouth.
"Jezel mind what you are saying, the walls have ears too, but I don't think she does. Firstly the school always conducts a test for every student, second I don't sense, or smell any form of barrier around her which could be blocking us from reading her". Liam said to Jezel while turning to face Gabriel.
"Well, maybe she escaped the test or passed it with petty tricks and stuff about her mind. Who knows, you can't really trust her, I mean Jay has been her friend for the past two weeks and still no information about her, she is deliberately hiding something and it's definitely something big". Jezel said feeling angry, ever since Rachael came into the school, everyone's attention shifted to her, Emily, Kyler and Jay doesn't hang out with them anymore not that she cared, but still they were still discussing about her even after what she displayed, they were all trying to get information about her.
They all ignored Jezel and continued their conversations "Should we involve the professors, or the principal, he could check her background and maybe we can start from there". Jay said.
But throughout their conversation, Gabriel said only two words "observe first" then he left the school's field.
Liam shrugged his shoulders and followed Gabriel. Jezel stomped her feet and walked in the opposite direction.
IN AN ABANDONED BUILDING
"I got information on the Witson Family. It was said that they died in the hands of their only Son. Which is quite strange and confusing because in my first information, their Son died at the age of 3-6 years and they died 20 years later". A guy with red glowing eyes said.
"So it means your information is not reliable. Stefan, I want reliable information. Stop giving me Facts based on your head or whatever.
I want correct information on everything we need on the Witson Family before the next full moon!!" The woman yelled in anger.
"Now get out and don't come back until you've completed your mission. Unless, consider yourself useless and dead to me". She said again.
"I need to visit the Secluded Mountains of the Lost to get more information before Madam Isabella will kick me out. I have nowhere to go. But how can I find the way in without getting lost because I'm running out of time?" Stefan contemplated within himself.
"I need to act fast before the COUNCILS will figure out what's going on. I have to visit that Old Man before the New Moon". Isabella said and sighed to herself.
"It's already been 17 years. Where, why and what are you hiding from?" She asked no one in particular.
