"To say it shocked me when I found out my stepsons were your step-brothers would be an
understatement."
"How come you didn't know who my father married after mom's death?"
"I didn't care enough to find out. But I had no idea it would be my husband's children."
"Why didn't he tell you?"
"He doesn't talk much about his past. But you know us women, some things we find out on our own."
Elena and I are presently strolling around their garden outside. Their backyard has a big garden full of different flowers, trees, and pathways. She had decided to show me the garden before heading to the lounge.
"So when I found out you lived in that house. I was discombobulated." Elena says while touching a lily.
"It's really getting sunny now. You mind us going in?" I ask but only because I want to ask her questions when I'm face to face with her whilst sitting.
"Sure."
